if you have Amazon I can tell you what to search on their site to find it. depends on where you liveno, no i won't trouble you with that.
How about you try it yourself ?Anyone willing to try the 'blackout test' on the rebreather?
Inert gas method test
Have you ever tried to pass out with exit bag and inert gas? ( Obviously I mean, with somebody else present to remove the bag after fainting. Or holding the bag with your hands in front of your nose and mouth... ) What does it feel like?sanctioned-suicide.net
Google or search on YouTube "How to livestream" or "How to livestream on a timer"? Hire a computer tech (CompUSA formerly "Good Guys") to set it up?I don't even know how I'd do that honestly
still here. had more to take care of than I initially thought. can't vouch for airtight seal from anyone else. think @Zeusman8506 may be able to offer some insightJacrispy you still with us?
Has anyone else who has the rebreather been able to achieve an airtight seal? I'm about 9 days from ordering my own and I just want to see what experience you've had with it so far.
love the pfp <3I just ordered the new rebreather. no order confirmation from the initial site and you have to use a separate site for shipping info. nothing from there either. cost me about $300+ being in the U.S. I emailed the shipping site immediately after asking for information. after reading the other threads about the older models, this one sounds more promising as you can attach a canister of inert gas to the device, which fills the bag fully when taking your first breath. this will supposedly cause unconsciousness almost immediately. I also paid through PayPal so if anything is faulty there is purchase protection. will update once/if any sort of confirmation is received, as well as when/if the device arrives.
Yea finally got the nerve to open it today. Getting a seal is doable but you may need so tape to assure does not come off. I bought 2 cylinders hooked one up today sealed good when valve was closed. Thought about doing black out test but definitely would cause brain damage if you held it in place to long. I have a large bottle of nitrogen to use if the small canister does not do the trick. I have 8 days before I will use this. I definitely think it's better than sn especially for me I only have 1/2 my stomach.still here. had more to take care of than I initially thought. can't vouch for airtight seal from anyone else. think @Zeusman8506 may be able to offer some insight
That's true but I had to use to keep it on my head didn't touch mask. Just taped at top. If you have normal size head you will not need tape at allI don't know if I'd use tape without being afraid of damaging the cushion of the mask.
How you achieved mask seal around face?Ok, I did the test last night, exhaled all in my lungs, hooked up to the mask took one giant deep breath. I immediately got very lightheaded and dizzy. I took another breath. Things got really fuzzy took a third breath and felt like I was going to pass out, so I dropped the mask.SI definitely kicked in. But I know I want two more breaths. I would've been unconscious. After dropping the mask, I sit there and breathe real fast. I had the worst headache I've ever had; about 10 minutes later, it was gone. I have to say yes, I think I would've died if I had kept it. I would've been unconscious. After dropping the mask, I sit there and breathe real fast. it's considered medical equipment, it has a CO2 canister in it as well. should have no issues.afraid of respiro being flagged already by local customs here in EU. too afraid to purchase to my address
I will when I get home today@jacrispy can you please share a picture of mask from the where it touches to face
With SI you mean that you got anxiety of death?Ok, I did the test last night, exhaled all in my lungs, hooked up to the mask took one giant deep breath. I immediately got very lightheaded and dizzy. the straps have Velcro on the end. you won't be able to get the band around your head with that much facial hair, it will get caught in the Velcro as well as the mask itself. So you can get an airtight seal without being a babyface? I'm gonna have to shave off my beard soon.
I just got it down to a 5 o'clock shadow and it's fine. sometime during the day. have to make sure no one is around.I'm gonna shave it off Wednesday. May buy a razor for a clean shave. What time is your bus tomorrow?
Yes you do realize you are about to dieWith SI you mean that you got anxiety of death?
it says "respiro" on the box and inside it's a duffel bag filled with the equipmentjacrispy, in what kind of packaging did the rebreather bag come in? was it just the bag? or was it inside of a carton box? were there any markings on the outside box? thinking of ordering it but have family living with me
