zn+caco3->zno+cao+co, this reaction gives 1 mole of CO:
the same reaction with reagents masses
65g of zn + 100g of caco3 ->zno(81g)+cao(56g)+CO(28g)
1 mol of gas=22.4L
for 10,000ppm of room of 22.4m^3 volume
10,000ppm equals to 1% of volume
22.4=22400L=1% of 22.4=224L
you need 650 g of zn and 1kg of caco3 for 10 moles
requirements for reaction activation:
melting point of zink - 420C
melting point of calcium-842C
probable needs heating unit with heating capacity up to 1,000C and reaction will take place at this temperature
