As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.
I did a blackout test with my SCUBA setup and it wasn't rough at all. It felt more like falling asleep, maybe a little bit more strange. It also goes really fast and no suffocating feeling. I also guess SI isn't a big issue here, because you don't have the feeling that you're dying.
Have you done your test with the full face rubber diving mask (sold with the brand names Poseidon and Pegasus) please? Because I plan to go with this mask, but I haven't ordered them yet

No I have the Ocean Reef neptune III. I pressed the mask against my face during the test without the straps tightened, so it could fall off when I lost consciousness.
You can store it for a while, but I remember someone on the forum mentioned their cylinder's pressure dropped after a long time.
I can't seem to find the post/thread.
It doesn't expire, but the PSI slowly drops, I've had mine 17 months now, the PSI has dropped from 2200 to 1650(but no drop in the last 4 months), but since its 3500 liters, there's still enough Nitrogen in there to kill me 12 times
Sounds good. Out of curiosity: Did you notice any smell? Did the gas feel cold? Basically, was there any difference between breathing air and pure nitrogen?
Many years--When you turn the valve on, it will jump to the PSI number--MY PSI was originally 2200 back in April 2022, now its down to 1600(huge 3500 liter tank so there's still enough to kill me more than ten times), so very slow leakage
I just tried to CTB and failed I didn't even black out. Which means there is still too much oxygen. I had bought a oxygen meter and placed it in the eebd hood and It dropped to 1% and stayed steady there, is that not enough to at least cause blackout? It seemed that it was at least low enough to give a killer headache but my vision and hearing remained about the same I had it on I think about a minute or two before I panicked and pulled off the hood. I checked the hose connections with soapy water and didn't notice any leaks. I think it might be the hood and my breathing sucking in air from outside where the face mask interface is.

I also had prepared the things for this method with eebd, but I have seen too many comments where they try it for minutes, and not "A couple of breaths" For a while I felt like this would be a peaceful and reliable way out, but I'm to scared about this method now, and ask myself. Will I pass out? If I pass out will I wake up again? Will I end up with serious brain damage?
Of course I want to leave this world physically peaceful, but not at the expense of reliability. I feel so stuck.

I think the problem is none of this is standard and item being used not for their intended purpose and as such it could be a your mileage may vary situation based on where you source your parts and what kind and purity of gas because the principal behind it is sound. I think the take way is test your setup not that this doesn't work reliably. I am definitely still keep going with inert gas but I am definitely gonna try a blackout test first before the actual CTB moment.

You said in a previous post that you bought a hood without a hose attached. How did you eventually hook up the hose? Did you attach it to a valve on the front of the hood? Or did you attach it to the inside of the hood like people do with a plastic exit bag?
Or did you get a different hood with a hose already attached?

You're supposed to pass out in less than a minute--If you don't then something is wrong--Also, depends on your LPM--Das Nichts is the only poster here who passed out, at 25 LPM, so you have to ask him how long that took
For context since my picture was deleted it was an internet listing of a tank that said helium 300 or smth and I didn't know how much I needed or what that meant

Yeah, the different types of cylinder measurements can be confusing. There's usually info on the website, often giving the water volume, which was 49 litres in that case. Volume of compressed gas is different, multiply the water volume by the bar pressure of the cylinder to get the approximate compressed gas volume.
On this thread, like I said, people usually recommend a cylinder volume (water volume) of at least 5 litres.
I wonder if there're any threads where the exit bag attempt has been successful. I see so many posts here where people fail. Never saw a successful one. I guess the gas is diluted.

There definitely has been successful cases mentioned in this thread before, mostly either using SCBA/SCUBA setups or via a hood. Obviously it's hard to know whether people successfully ctb or just disappeared from the website.
Good day my friends, might I ask your advice? I have the clickstyle regulator recommended by GasMonkey for US residents. I also have the yellow EEBD hood from China. My question is which exact coupler/adapter is needed to connect the hose to the regulator, I'm a granny who is hopeless with fittings and such. Here is what the hose connection looks like. Thank you!
