It sounds like the OP went through a horrific experience so maybe others should stop being so disrespectful. Nobody has to answer loads of questions or share loads of details, to expect someone to do that is incredibly selfish. I bet none of you would feel like doing that if you went through an experience like what the OP went through today. It's sad how suffering people are treat so badly, even on here.

Posts that set out to undermine threads started in good faith are becoming a thing round here. Perhaps try and remember this is a Support Forum, and posts should lean towards being empathic, rather than cynical or confrontational - doubly the case in a thread like this one.​

I think inaccurate information is far more damaging to this forum than possibly hurting someone's feelings. There are already loads of people posting that this post made them scared shitless. I don't think it's anyone's duty to blindly trust everything that's posted here. There are people who larp on here for attention or just don't follow protocol and lie about it. OP has answered everyone's questions except about the inconsistencies about how much SN she took and the timeframe of when she took it.

I've been in a situation myself similar to this the disrespect afterwards is almost worst than the pain and disappointment of a failed attempt

I'm not trying to scare people. I wanted to document my experience and make it known.

I did sip and taste it.
I took 800mg tylonel 1 hour before.
I took meto 30 minutes prior.
I took 6 tums 15 minutes prior
I fasted for 12 hours. That day I ate chicken fried rice. I had sweet tea also.
I had nothing to drink 5 hours prior.
I tasted it later that night. I also took a big sip, it was about 3:45am ish, then I drank the rest at 4am. All in all, 30g of SN.

Theres obviously some debilitating factors.
The tums probably fucked it up. I don't know. I basically used stans guide.
I took 3 10g meto

It's ironic that you seek clarity, yet end up muddying the water instead ...

If someone consumes a poison, and fully expects to die as a result, they will almost certainly be in a distressed state, a state of sheer terror probably. And because they fully expect to be dead, meticulous record-keeping regarding quantities consumed and timeframes is unlikely to figure highly in their plans. After all, where's the point ...?

Given that, it doesn't surprise me in the least that there's uncertainty surrounding dosage. In fact, it's quite normal for people who survive life-threatening situations to have lapses of memory and be confused about specific details, even more likely when interrogated in the immediate aftermath of the event, when they're still disorientated and very probably in a state of severe shock.

You think accurate information is more important than "hurting someone's feelings" ...? Well, I might agree with that if I was engaged in say, a YouTube thread. But in a first-person thread concerning a failed suicide attempt, questioning the integrity of the OP looks a bit iffy - you seem blind to the point that your posts are in their own way as equally scaremongering as you imply the OP's posts to be.

And most readers would be capable of evaluating the integrity of the OP themselves anyway.​

It does say somewhere in the PPH, to abort your attempt if you have no backup glass and are violently sick from the SN. Unfortunately, the anti-sickness pills don't work well for everybody, or so it seems. sad anyway.

I don't think the tums messed anything up. I don't think you did anything wrong to be honest. I pray this doesn't happen to me because I will be drinking mine in a few weeks. You've been through hell on earth and I hope things get better for you. How awful to wake up back in this world, and to be as sick as you were no less. It's a cruel joke. I hope you're feeling better.

Possible explanations

- It was nitrate
- Purity less than 95%
- You puked and didn't take it back

I'm so sorry to read what you went through. I hope you are able to recover. I'm still confused with what you've told us, though. Here you've said you took 30gms within 15 mins and previously you said you sipped half of 30g then took a further 20g several hours later.

Could also be the sipping as the objective is to "flood the system"

So awful. Please seek medical attention. I know it's going to be another level of hell to go through considering how people are treated after suicide attempts, but at least then you'll have some peace of mind. I would say this to anybody worried it won't work
There's always that chance even throwing yourself in front of a train or of a building or shooting yourself in the head isn't 100 percent and there about the best odds of working and there's still a very small chance you can survive there's not a 100 percent guaranteed method when doing this without a professional but there's methods that are almost guaranteed
Sn kills alot of people in the uk I've heard people using this method alot and it worked so it's probably the best chance at a peaceful method there is

I think there would be a definite chance of brain damage, as you're starving the brain of oxygen just like you're drowning.

They didn't follow the protocol correctly, and didn't take the second glass of sn. Not to mention, they spaced out their sn intake.

This was at 4am.
After I drank my SN mix. I immediately laid down. I watched my TV for about 10 minutes. Then the horror...I of course, vomited profusely. Yes, I took antiemetics. I laid back down. I could feel my body start to shut down. I remember breathing in agony. I got up and remember slumping half on the bed. My legs were on the floor. I managed to pull myself on the bed. I was face down screaming in agony for 10 minutes, realizing my body was shutting down. My whole body got stiff. I remember being drenched with sweat. I peed myself too. Then I blacked out and woke up 4 hours later. I vomited profusely for a good hour. Tried taking a shower. I was very dizzy.

I still am pretty dizzy with a horrible headache. I quit dry heaving at 9pm. I threw up/dry heaved at least 2 or 3 times an hour today. My body hurts like crazy.
Happy fucking birthday to me...all of that just to be back in this living hell.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Posts like these really help the community to know what's all involved in SN. I'm sorry you had to go through this. Sometimes I think that Philip Nietzcke is a quack who doesn't know what he's talking about. He calls this method "relatively peaceful" , compared to what? Rat poison?

None of us deserve to suffer in death like this, especially when we already suffer so much in life.. Hope you have a speedy recovery and find a peaceful method, if that's what you still want.
