Lmao I think thats the only way to go tbh. Angry. When I found out Keanu is going to be in it, I'm like god damn it... Now I might have to CTB, pissed off because I wasn't able to play Cyberpunk.
Bioshock Infinite was amazing. I love Yoshi's IslandI'm still obsessed with the SNES and Sega Genesis. I play a lot of Aladdin, Sonic, Super Mario, Yoshi's Island etc.
My favorite "new" game is probably Bioshock or Bioshock 2. I admittedly don't keep up with new stuff much.
Addicted is good lolHaving been gaming for over 30 yrs, I have seen so many come and go. We used to have a blast of Streets of Rage on the Mega Drive. Sensible World of Soccer [known as Sensi] was great fun on whatever platform it ran on and I loved the Legend of Kain series. Now, the only game left that I play on is ESO, which is awesome for the most part, although I am taking a break from it right now as I have become addicted to it.
So what lolI'm a decade older than you
Both groups of people are idiots but the these "businessmen" are even more idiotic and they aren't making a fortune. Do your research. These companies are making less profit than ever, their reputations have become destroyed. They are finished. Being a good businessman means making as much profit as possible without selling trash to your customers because even idiots have standards and even idiots can tell the difference between playing on a PC or a console and playing on a smartphone... And trying to sell a Diablo game in an over saturated market where Diablo is not very well know. LMAO. These "businessmen" basically denied themselves more money than they can dream of... If you want to see an example of a good businessman, look at Jeff Bezos.
You're probably right. That's how most large-scale movie studios work, wouldn't be a stretch to think that game development is any different. After all, the flagship games from the big players do cost a lot to make, and you're likely to try to go for broad appeal to get a good return and compromise on artistic vision or innovation in the process.By businessmen I meant someone who has been instructed to only care about very specific business metrics in the context of publicy traded companies ( short term profit, maximizing shareholder value, etc ) or venture capital fueled companies ( return of investment selling to a bigger company or going public ) . If that is not the correct term, Im sorry for the confusion.
Those who are making the calls at the executive level at gaming companies are not gamers nor game developers, they are businessmen ( or whatever the correct term ) and they are making a fortune in compensation compared to the rest of the company staff ( game artists, game programmers, game designers, etc ). Thats the fortune I was talking about, Im sorry if I wasnt clear enough. They are there to do their thing, they probably dont care too much about games or if they do, they dont care in the way gamers or small game studios do. Thats my guess. I wrote "imho" because I dont have any evidence to back it up and I may very well be talking nonsense.
I deleted the message because I felt bad calling gamers idiots and thats not what I meant. I dont think they are more idiotic than I am whenever I have to deal with internet providers, banks, etc.

Just an observation.So what lol
This. All I really play is SNES and Megadrive. Been collecting for them for years. Around the time I was supposed to be becoming an adult instead I was already getting nostalgic for the past. Now it's a similar situation except the memories pain me. I can't play Gamecube or PS2 since that's what was current at the time. SNES and Megadrive take me back to a good time, they do not. I did see the GameCube intro on a youtube video though and it turned my stomach. By turns both felt like yesterday and weirdly seems more retro to me than the SNES and Megadrive just because it's been longer since I played them. Anyway enough of the sob story, favourite games probably the Super Mario World + Super Mario All stars compilation cartridge but there's so many. Super Metroid is a masterpiece, Zelda etc then on Megadrive you've got Streets of rage 2 and Sonic 2 and they're just the obvious ones. It's one of my only reasons to carry on as sad as that sounds because I put so much time into collecting them it's all I have to show for it. I make them enough to live for but I'm probably kidding myself. I don't even play it as much as I should. I used to like a challenge but now I give up quite easily if it's too hard, lifes punishment enough! Which Aladdin did you mean? Most people prefer the Megadrive version but the SNES ones my favourite and the one I grew up with. Nice and easy! :)I'm still obsessed with the SNES and Sega Genesis. I play a lot of Aladdin, Sonic, Super Mario, Yoshi's Island etc.

Yeah I need to get myself one again those were good timesJust an observation.
Graphics were better on Dreamcast anyway
Its appreciated. I know the metal gear series is a classic. And those little things made the game. Sucks with they did to kojima in the end thoughMetal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty
Trolling the enemy soldiers was so much fun. Just their reactions and behaviours to certain situations, and the russian accents they have makes it even more funnier. You can sneak up on a enemy soldier from behind, and then hold them up, and then if you aim your gun at their head they will give you items. But some are very stubborn and brave and won't surrender easily. They will say with a russian accent 'if your going to do it, then do it' or 'just try and pull the trigger' If you then aim your gun at their penis..they go 'helppp!' and surrender. But some enemies are really brave and won't surrender when aiming at the penis, if you then swap your gun for rocket launcher and aim that at them they'll finally surrender. Or the nude magazines you can put down to distract guards.
Or all the little Easter eggs Kohima put in the game. When you beat the game and play it a second time, you can spot snake running away in a cardboard box, on the bridge on the plant chapter. Or when your playing as Raiden you have to cross a bridge at one part, and a guard above goes 'oh no, I'm going to wet my pants' 'no one looking right'. And he pees on Raiden's head.
Or the cardboard box codec conversation:
Iroquois Pliskin:
The cardboard box that you have is ideal for fooling your enemies. It's a very important tool for infiltration missions.
Raiden:
Really?
Iroquois Pliskin:
Of course. I can't begin to count the number of agents whose lives were saved by a cardboard box...
Raiden:
You mean everyone's using them?
Iroquois Pliskin:
Look, I'm not exaggerating when I say the success of your mission hinges on how you use that cardboard box. But in the end, a cardboard box is only made of paper. Handle it with care or it won't be of much use to you. Don't think of it as just another box. Treat it with love... Don't be rough. Okay?
It's just a brilliant game, the ridiculous kojima humor, the gameplay, sound, ai behaviour, etc.View attachment 12071

Thats cool you still have it! Who knows breaking it out for a spin might help you burn off some steam. It helps me sometimes lol.In my computer room i can still see the box of Diablo 2 Lords of destruction. and checking inside the box the CD is still there. Maybe i should install it one of these day and see how truly bad i have become:
That what i use to play. loved having all those minions doing by bidding :-)Just play as a Necromancer and you won't need good hand to eye coordination.
i don't throw stuff away :-) yep confessed horder. but big question is will it work on my computer. will give it a spin when i come back from doctors.Thats cool you still have it! Who knows breaking it out for a spin might help you burn off some steam. It helps me sometimes lol.
Are you a Generation Zer?
Even if Cyberpunk is an amazing game, I'd rather not be here next year. Another year in hell is a lot of sacrifice, even for an amazing game.
