Andromeda? Yes it was disappointing. You a fan of the series?
Andromeda is underrated, IMO. It's a good game, just very different from the previous Mass Effect games, therefore not providing many Mass Effect fans with what they want. Then they wrote it off as a shitty game.
I have so many. Baldur's Gate I and II, Icewind Dale, Clive Barker's Undying, Civilization II to V, Sim City anything, Grand Theft Auto (any really), WoW, Doom, The Witcher, Skyrim, Thief, Uncharted, The Last Of Us, Tomb Raider. Some of those games are 20 years old and I still play them.

You have good taste in PC games, IMO.

thats why I said we'll find out today lol
Too many to mention.

For members of this community, I heavily recommend SOMA, NieR: Automata and Silent Hill 2. Glad to see SOMA mentioned previously.

They will require patience and thought, but they represent and discuss aspects of human nature (existentialism, the self and purpose) in ways very difficult to explore through other media.

I would emplore you not to play SOMA if you are feeling particularly vunerable. It's a beautiful, haunting experience but it holds no punches with it's themes. If the idea of what makes you, you, interests you, its essential. If you like horror; play it, don't even research it.

I have hundreds of examples for games for people looking for something in particular. Don't hesitate to ask.
Nier was a really good game

I liked the turn based combat, art style the decision making, how you play as different groups within the game.

Nier: Automata, Pokémon, XCOM, ICEY, Greyfox, Ori, Project CARS and ECHO come to mind. I mostly play indie stuff that pops up on my Steam discovery list.

I'm attempting to develop my own game right now, as a part of my summer internship project to design and develop one. As I've found out, making your own tile and sprite sheets is a pain in the ass. I keep wondering how people get around to making games when they're sitting alone at a laptop screen - I've wasted most of my time watching old Top Gear.

Night in the Woods. It made me feel less alone, for a while.
It's a shame I can't get myself to enjoy playing stuff again usually

It's a roguelike-like with a co-op gameplay mechanic - you need to survive, but surviving alone is impossible, so you need to team up to do so. The professor I'm working under wants some sort of social improvement angle (being an old designer, he has no appreciation for entertainment).

I watched someone play that game. I was very surprised with the writing.

Don't Starve Together is on my wishlist, will probably get around to it some day. Haven't heard of One Hour, One Life, will check that out.

I wanted to try to subvert the co-op mechanic by making it disadvantageous to have to cooperate with allies who are less skilled and less well-off. I'm not exactly the hopeful type, so I wanted the game to punish people who played together by leaving their characters crippled by the trauma of dead teammates, and punishing solo players by making their characters unable to connect to or understand the world, leading to death. But now I'm stuck at making snow tiles... sucks to have to make your own assets.

My best gaming hours were spent in Dark Souls-1. This game always makes me feel useful and needed, as the game mechanics allows me to cooperate and help other people in their struggle through difficult parts of the game...

Anything out of E3 you are excited about? I thought Microsoft Flight Simulator trailer looked fantastic.

You never know. Look at what Bethesda did with Fallout 76. Look at what Bioware did with Anthem. Look at what Activision Blizzard is going to do with the next Diablo game. The gaming industry is being taken over by idiots. Great companies can rise and fall, like empires. In the future, I will never pre order a game or a buy when it comes out, ever again.

The players are the idiots, imho. They are businessmen, making a fortune.
Both groups of people are idiots but the these "businessmen" are even more idiotic and they aren't making a fortune. Do your research. These companies are making less profit than ever, their reputations have become destroyed. They are finished. Being a good businessman means making as much profit as possible without selling trash to your customers because even idiots have standards and even idiots can tell the difference between playing on a PC or a console and playing on a smartphone... And trying to sell a Diablo game in an over saturated market where Diablo is not very well know. LMAO. These "businessmen" basically denied themselves more money than they can dream of... If you want to see an example of a good businessman, look at Jeff Bezos.

Skyrim was my first platinum on the playstation. Best 250 + hours of my life. Helped me escape how I felt most of the time.
Honestly (and I don't even care if I get laughed at) - Sonic the hedgehog on original Sega.

Even if Cyberpunk is an amazing game, I'd rather not be here next year. Another year in hell is a lot of sacrifice, even for an amazing game.
