Spring is starting. Everything around you is returning back to life, after a long period of coldness and death (winter). Birds are singing, falling in love, building nests.
Combine that with a nice outside air, and i'd imagine that it makes one feel better to be in that kind of environment. You're being "contaminated with life" so to speak

I don't think we're designed for being indoors and on our own all the time. We're still animals at heart- I think we probably do need fresh air, sunshine, nature and other people around now and then.

I don't like spring or seeing things return to life lol. I prefer coldness and death. My favorite seasons are fall and winter.

your mind is focused on the environment and not too much on yourself and your thoughts. That helps you feel better because the depressive thoughts are gone and when you get home it's like
"it was a good outing".

Hmmm... Maybe your body does like it, but your mind doesn't. So you somehow feel better, but it's not quite in the mind

Nature helps distract your mind from the materialistic world. If I could live in a forest my depression would go down. The sun gives you vitamin D which can help depression . Our ancestors spent most time out in nature we weren't meant to be cooped up in boxes

The sun also gives you UV rays which cause skin damage though. Personally I hate the sun and sunlight, I hate the sun shining down on me. I do agree that maybe fresh air helped my mood though

Because there's an entire world inside your body. Microscopic organisms that exist and feed off of sunlight and fresh air. If you watched it on a cellular level you'd freak out. There's whole ecosystems inside us jts insane.

Yes, only about 10 min of sunlight then get out of it and always wear sunscreen take umbrellas everywhere like Japanese women do. I love being out in the rain

In that case maybe its just a different environment that makes you feel different. Environment really has a big impact on mental state

Believe me there's so many things in life that will cause your skin more harm than the sun.

That is so true. We are designed to exercise a lot and be outside. That is how our ancestors lived in the hunter gatherer society.

Like what?
Life stressors. So many things in the atmosphere alone. And besides, if you want to stay alive, there's just going to be things that you encounter out there. If you don't then I guess you get amazing skin until you're dead 😬

It's a cliche but true I think. We haven't evolved quickly enough to live well as couch potatoes living off of junk food. Annoying really because things like healthy foods and exercise aren't exactly appealing when you feel low. (Not to me anyhow.)

Life's cruel in fact because- probably the things we crave- a big bar of chocolate on our own are probably the worst things for us.

I'm making myself exercise at the moment because it does help me. Not all that much but that means at least I tend to do it. I wish we had evolved quicker to cope with such unhealthy lifestyles.

As far as I'm aware, plenty of studies show that being outdoors in nature is generally positive for ones mood.
