Hi, I wanted to know your theories on death and what you wish would happen after.

The most time I only thought that after the death you either feel your last moment forever (this is why I am scared of a painful death) or that that happens what you think what happens (so the first one for me).
I still believe that this could happen but I often just think it is not existing, that would be better than my life but not perfect.

What I wish would happen is to be reborn in my dream world in which I am a happy child forever in a perfect family without bad things in the world or being Kirby, I like the Pop Star planet and I want to eat cake with waddle dee.

Do you remember how it felt exactly when you had a night of deep sleep with no dreams? I believe death is like that.

I very strongly believe that of course we just permanently cease to exist where we won't even have awareness of the fact that we are gone and that is certainly what I wish for. To me it sounds so incredibly ideal being able to not exist, as death is the absence of all harm and suffering, death solves what the true problem is which is life in itself. I see no value in being trapped in this hellish world so of course I've always wished for non existence.

I think it's just not existing the same sleep feels if you don't remember your dreams. If reincarnation is real, though, I don't think I'd mind.

I've heard someone say that how you feel after death is the same way you feel before you're born. Nothing at all, and I believe that's true.

Of course I wish I could be in an ethereal world where reality could be whatever I desired, but of course saying that's unrealistic is an understatement. I'm fine with there being nothing after death.

I think there's nothing, we just return to the void we were in before we were born.

This may just be wishful thinking on my part but I personally believe that there will be some kind of life after death and that death is only a transition into that next journey after this life. For myself, I would like it if I were able to live in a sandbox kinda universe where I can do whatever I want and live through any scenario I can think of. Kind of like lucid dreaming. But I have a sinking feeling that if there is a life for me after this one, it isn't going to be as peaceful or pleasant as I wish it to be.

At this point, honestly... I'll be happy just as long as it's not THIS life. I don't know what happens. I would like to think that there's something better. Hell, NO life would be better than this.

I hope for reincarnation. I reckon that if I had been born somebody else, under different circumstances, I would have quite liked it here. I don't believe the world is a terrible place or that humans are fundamentally bad. There's so much beauty and joy here; my greatest pain is that I was born under circumstances that prohibit me from truly experiencing it. Ideally I'd like to come back as a spoiled ginger cat who lives in a country house somewhere. I'd sleep in sunny spots or by the fire; patrol the garden after breakfast; drink fresh milk from a saucer; and receive regular scritches behind the ears. I wouldn't have the capacity to be mentally ill, and even if I was a wee bit odd, I'd be a cat so nobody would mind. No work, no loneliness, no worries. That would be the best life.

In terms of what I actually think happens, the most likely out come seems that consciousness would cease once the brain dies, and it'll be like falling into a dreamless sleep forever. There will simply be nothing. I suppose I will be reincarnated in the sense that my energy will return to the world and be used for something else. I'd like to be buried for that reason: I want plants to use the resources from my corpse to grow. That way part of me gets to live on in a sense, and my existence would not be a waste. My grandad has a tree planted on his grave. The cemetery he's in is basically a newly planted wood. I'd like something like that, although I know I'm asking too much. I deserve to be chucked in a hole and forgotten about. I'd be too dead to care anyway.

We can't say for certain what happens, but I guess I'll find out soon. I'll deal with whatever it is when I get there.

What I wish for? Nothingness. Non-existence beats existence any day. This gamble of Life is not worth it.

What I believe? I believe that consciousness continues on, and our energy will take another physical form. Human or not.
I don't relish the thought, but I read a lot on quantum physics and q-bism to form this conclusion. Whatever will happen to me, if it frees me from this perspective, from this unbearable pain I suffer as me, I take it. I regret my body though - it is a good one. Wish I could take it with me just have all memory wiped out and a change of personality.

@thatlatealready you might want to look into terramation. It is exactly what you like. And I would love to be a spoiled cat, too! :)

That does sound like something I'd like very much, I'm a life-long gardener, but unfortunately it is not legal in the UK. It'll have to be a woodland burial instead, which isn't so bad. I like that I idea too - being laid to rest in the quiet countryside amongst the trees.

Years ago I fainted while getting out of a hot pool. I overheated and the blood pressure drop knocked me out and I fell back into the water. Some people there had to help me out.

I don't remember anything from when I was unconscious, or even the seconds before. I was... unconscious. There was nothing. That's what unconsciousness is.

The existence of consciousness is dependent on the living body. With that life gone, consciousness will be gone, forever. The neurons and other cells that make me conscious will die and then rot or burn. I'll be gone. There will be nothing.

I've seen near death experience videos on YouTube and it's described as peaceful and calm where you don't feel anything.

I do not gelive in sfterlife, I think it all ends and in case I ctb it is exactly what I want.
However nothing is created and nothing is destroyed, so molecules and atoms will still be there somewhere and I like to think that they can become a tree, or a fruit, or later in centuries, a star :)

Ironically my closest experience with what death feels like was when I was put in general anesthesia to get ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) as part of my depression treatment. They inserted the IV, proceeded to place the electrodes, then I blinked and asked the surgeon when the procedure would start, and he answered "It's done!". For this moment I had no self-consciousness, I was in total blackout, like an inanimate object. And that's what I wish would happen after my death. An absence of feeling and consciousness, hopefully no naked angels with harps nor a jackal-headed dude with scales. In other words, eternal rest.

I wish to die forever, never again being burdened by problems that only exist in life. Life is the worst thing I can possibly imagine, after all, every bad thing you can think of comes from life, so of course the best thing would be as far away from life as possible. There would be no risk of things getting worse, it would be the ultimate state of peace and I could wish for nothing more. It's agonising knowing that I'm trapped here indefinitely, because of people with pro-suffering views.

Maybe different people go different ways. Some completely disappear. Some go into another body. Some wandering around as spirits. Some stay in a middle realm for a while until there is a suitable body or vacancy in paradise.

I read somewhere that your brain continues to function for several minutes after you die. Someone died while having a brain scan and that's how they discovered this. If it's true, this would explain people's near death experiences. I think once your brain stops functioning altogether, there will be nothing.
