• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

Ok, I've read about this method for the first time. Is this kind of self strangulation? And once you lose consciousness, how big is the danger that the scarf or whatever you use gets loose and you wake up again, possibly with damage?

You can use something like this

But this method should be avoided, there are a lot of other good methods

Would doing it in a body of water help? Like going out to the sea and then using the tourniquet to pass out and then drown

I think it' easier to compress your carotid artery by using knots like the old lady in the photo instead of using the tourniquet

I don't get where the knots go with this...

Does anyone have the pictures from the original post? They seem to have been taken down.

From experience. Ratchet tie downs do not work. Applying the necessary pressure you will have to crank that until your neck feels like it will snap.

For me it also took too long and was too uncomfortable and too hard to do it quickly enough for not feeling your head will explode.

It has personally put me off of the ratchet tie down method.
This method simply does not seem like it works at all. I wish it did.
I have been working with this method for about 3 years and I think it is really not as easy as it is always made out to be.:mmm:

It may be possible for people who have a rather thin neck to achieve the necessary pressure, but as soon as the neck is thicker (as is the case with me), absolutely nothing works and I am like many of you, I feel the massive pressure in my head, but I am by no means close to fainting, getting dizzy or other symptoms. This is independent of whether I attach the rope above or below the AA.

If anyone here has any tips for thicker necks, I would be extremely grateful!

it doesn't work with thin necks either.

Is a commercially sold ratcheting medical tourniquet an option?

Seems easier (one handed application) and safer (won't come undone or lose tension).

Purchased one in case of absolute emergencies
