• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I blacked out yesterday and did some mess on my laptop. There was a list of about 45 links from YouTube which I would paste into downloader to get music. When I woke up I found an image opened from my desktop by Google Chrome and all programs, tabs and notepad were closed. I used data retrievers but nothing was in deleted temp files, no temp files of notepad too. Daaamn.

That sounds weird. Have you ever used any means to erase data from you laptop?
I'm curious about the program you use to try and retrieve the data

Yes, I did that some times experimenting how to delete all traces so that they could not be retrieved and just to retrieve data. Used Recuva, Partition Recovery, R-Studio, FoneLab Data Retriever (now), Starus Word Recovery (now)

Some of those programs i will have to look into. Thanks for the info.
How do you go about deleting the data? Meaning CMD to zero out unused space or third party programs to write over the data.

There are file wipers for this purpose. Will now try one more thing and will tell you.

I'm aware of file some wiper programs. Have you tried using command prompt to zero out the free space on a drive, for testing?
Using the cipher command.

I did not wipe in this case, was merely formatting disk and changing to fat32 because I needed to run Tails from external hard drive.

I tried to install on external hard drive, but it was failing to load. No problems with flash drive

Was it a GRUB issue or something else?

Also were trying to dual boot?

Something like "Unable to find a medium..." on black screen, then was error with image. So I gave up and used Etcher to be able to load from flash

Hmmmm my first thought was what medium had the GRUB on it. If i'm not mistaken when setting up Linux it asks you about where you want to store the MBR
Have you tried installing it again?

It is installed on flash drive. However, no money to buy some BTC. Have not even set up Electrum yet. Is BTC stored on flash drive?

On a different note I had over £1200 raised in funds for me to gain therapy when I was on a bridge one night for over 8 hours back on Oct 14th, I have just asked if those funds can be put to the local NHS services, as they are in more need then myself in this current time.
Fuck am I being stupid, brave or what?!
