I had to think about this. I once read something in a news article or in I watched a philosophy show. It was like science experiment. What woud you do? Clean 20 public toilets (for example - something that costs time, energy andd is perceived as uncomfortable) or killing a small beetle or bug. And according to the study under realistic scenarios many people decide for killing the beetle/bug. I did a poll on here. And I think I ticked I am ambivalent and not sure. And many people shitted on me for ticking maybe. The vast majority of users were in favor of cleaning the public toilets. And they acted like only horrible people would kill the small living being. Honestly, I think we did this experiment in real life practically people would tend to kill the bug or beetle. I also discussed this expermient with my friends who also assumed this is what most people would do in practice. And according to the TV show or article whatever this was also the choice of the majority of particpants in practice. Eventually I deleted the poll because I didn't want to lock like a horrible being on here. But this applies to me.

One cannot really deduce that SaSu members don't want to look bad on here. This would be simplified. There are many different explanations. Maybe a band waggon effect. Maybe influence by the first commentator. Maybe a reflection of the own self-image what one would like to decide without having to decide it in real life. A question about identity. The other conclusion SaSu members have a way stricter ethical principles than usual particpants of scientifical studies. Or the results of the science studies were bogus. And actually I fall for the band waggon effect and I am influenced by the article how I read it.

But I think no matter what we conclude it is anecdotal evidence.

I think many SaSu members have a lot of self-hatred. And they are more open about negative traits on here than on mainstream social media websites. On SaSU also very stigmatized topics and confessions are allowed. I am not sure whether we are less judgemental in all instances though. I think SaSu members are more compassionate and many on here are against hatred against minorities. While at the same time we respectful to other individuals even when we disagree. I also have the feeling in general members on here are less judgemental.

I can remember someone I really like had semi-sociopathic tendencies and some of the stuff he opened up about was quite heavy. I think I can remember someone called him out and confronted him with what he said. And it was like exposing him.
I think he always felt guilty for what he felt and did. Eventually he also committed suicide. And this hit me. It made me think that people with such tendencies are probably haunted by own demons. But I am not a psychiatrist and I cannot really make trustworthy statement about the condition he had. I felt very sorry for him.

For me it is very hard to draw fine lines on here. There was someone with whom I was friends with on this forum. But politically in real life I would have judged harshly about certain stances. But I think on here I feel like most of us (except some individuals who probably love to watch us suffering) are in the same boat. And I think if you end up on here, and life forces you to such drastic measures (spending time on here) you are already suffering a lot. I don't like too heated political arguments on here. But I probably also hurt someone's feelings when it comes to politics. But it should not be a personal insult.

I think being on here often means you are in a lot of pain. And people who experienced severe abuse often live in a torture simulation and some develop bitterness and resentment. And I mean it probably doesn't help to double down on that. And to point with one's finger at someone.

I think in many situations I want to be perceived as good person. Even when posting with an anonymous account and no one knows me in real life. I really like it no one on here knows me in real life. It makes me more independent. And I can open up more. I once read someone shared they were on Sanctioned Suicide on a dating app. Honestly, I would never never do that. No matter how good the chemistry was. No matter how simillar the positions of that person on suicide might seem. First of all I don't think it is good to recommend this forum to someone. It is better people find this forum on their own. Because usually this means they have done some research and they might not throw their life away because of a temporary crisis. Moreover, I think most people would look with disgust at us. We are the pariahs of the internet sort of. The people on kiwi farms considered this forum to be worse than them. I think people would judge us for being on here. And I think many people who never experienced extreme existential pain don't have much empathy or understanding for this community. And the black-white news coverage about this place won't help. I am not even sure whether the majority of people who are suicidal themselves would defend this place. I don't have much contact to be people with as serious issues than me in real life. I know some people who had suicidal thoughts but for most people this was a temporary episode. But I think this has to do with the social contacts I form in real life. I think there are people in as horrible circumstances than me or on a similar level. But I often don't meet them in real life. I read stories on here. I was in this clinic for acute suicidality. And the atmosphere was extremely weird. I tried to express it in words in the past. But I had the feeling the people were not genuine. When I asked a few of them whether they were genuine they replied with yes. I am not sure whether my perception tricked me. I could imagine the people were very ambivalent. The people seemed to be very focused on their own problems. But I also had the feeling they felt alienated by the practices of the psychiatry. And people kept their positions to themselves in order not to destabilize others. It didn't feel real. And I would prefer SaSu in 100 of 100 times. The stay was pretty traumatizing a woman committed suicide.

Nope, not me. I know I am lazy and neroutic as all hell. I even sometines question if I am here for the right reasons pr if I am even contributing positively (Made a stupid comment the other day, referring to that)

In general, I think the site has problems, but painting the site as all 'poor stray cats who just need to be convinced to live' or 'evil puppeterers of the mentally ill' is just reductive.
