@Epsilon0 Actually nothing will happen, only one file may be damaged :D And I will have to do backup from this file.
However, I am facing different issues. I cannot retrieve 1,73 TB of data on 100 GB free space lol
And creating an image on cloud equals a suicide with such an internet. With such an Internet, it will require almost 2 weeks just to create an image on cloud, I don't even talk about retrieving 1,73 TB of data from the image.
The funny thing is that the hard drive is 1.36 TB and the amount of data is 1.73 TB. So there might be some trash I deleted a few years ago.

(It's 4 in the afternoon, and I have a presentation going.)
Good morning (/afternoon/evening)!

Just short of 12 midday here, not long dragged my sorry ass out of bed!

No, I tried, but I can't. I don't think it's there.
I keep tropical fish. I keep tropical fish. In me underpants. In me underpants.:))
Not very well. But I don't know if it's because of the lack of meds. I have to stay at home till near the end of June, which is, at this rate, going to be hell.
The need to cut keeps getting worse. Unfortunately, the largest knife we have is not very useful for that. I just tried to cut myself again, it just hurts so much right now. Worst part is, I won't remember any of this soon.
I'm sorry, amigo, this sounds like hell.

In the thick of it, yeah, I think so. But since I never remember it, there's no long-term damage.

@faust does give any indication of how likely it would be to recover the files. I think Recuva shows something like that.

@one4all I can recover all the data which was deleted after formatting. And some data which was deleted long before. Was surprised to see Bugs Bunny, Flintstones and Life with Louie untouched. The problem is that large videos from one folder became divided into small pieces. Some files which were deleted 5-7 years ago have some weird format.

@faust What format ate they showing? It doesn't surprise me to much that the files are still showing on the drive. To the best of my knowledge formatting doesn't really zero out the drive.

@one4all .swf, .vob and .3gp which weigh 4 GB! 4 gb for .3gp, can you imagine your old Nokia recording 4 GB lol
Yes, it does not, however many files lost name, date of creation, date of modification and large .mts videos divided into 30 seconds videos with strange names, it is like tearing a sheet of paper into small pieces and then solving the puzzle. But around 95-98 per cent of files are in right directories, others are considered a raw data and are out of folders. I am lucky to find the folder which I needed empty, so had to look up for necessary videos manually. And all of them are .mts, viciously cut into pieces.

@faust I'm pretty sure those are video formats.
That would have to be one hell of a huge Nokia to hold that LOL
That's interesting that they are divided up like that. I can't remember if i came across a situation like that when i was playing around with recovery software.
Are you trying to actually recover data from the drive or just experimenting with data recovery?

@one4all I am more experimenting, though at the same time would be nice to recover. However, I don't have space even to create an image of a hard drive, it will weigh more than 600k tons, I have 100GB free only :/
Edit: I never had any .swf or .vob files.
There were some 4GB x-ray software files in images too, of course I have never used such a software before.
Were also huge Autodesk files, 4 GB.
And some 10GB files of unknown format too.

@faust No way of hooking up another external drive and creating the image on that?
Have you ever played around with programs that allows you to delete files and it writes over that data? The current one i'm using is "Eraser"

@one4all not now, maybe in 10-12 days only. But yes, it is an option.
Would like to see what will happen if all the sectors are filled with random values and what R-Studio will show me in deep scan.
Concerning data wipers, I am not going to use them right now however some laptops allow to wipe all data in BIOS. Wish such an option had been during my school years, best revenge to teachers who treat students like garbage.

@faust You have me wondering also. Like i mentioned before i've never played with R-Studio before.
I was just curious what R-Studio would show if a file was wiped.
Damn i forgot about the BIOS setting for wiping! :ahhha:

@one4all I liked this thing much, during investigation they may take out the hard drive if PC is not working but will realize it is empty too.
The funniest thing would be though to "mess up" with flow, voltage and resistance configuration to make PC start burning at police station.
Here are some tips to destroy a few parts:

@faust Damn you have been doing some research on screwing a computer up LMAO.
Yes during an investigation they can try pulling the data off a hard drive. Thats why i prefer NUKING it or writing over the files.
I still have a floppy drive and have played around with tryiing to only boot from that.. messing around with GRUB and all that lovely shit.
But yes, they can still yank out the drive and try to recover data. So wipe away LOL

EDIT: It would be nice to leave about 100 txt files behind just saying "Fuck You"

@one4all there are also some funny things worth to say. If you have a car, then you may have known that inside of car airbags sodium azide is used. I now wonder how to extract it without explosion inside, otherwise the bag will inflate with nitrogen. Laptop and sodium azide in laptop will make a cop shit in his pants after a sudden explosion.

@faust OK.. they was down right hilarious imaging that! :pfff:
I see you have been working other ideas besides data recovery
Now i have to look into ways of making a PC POP when it's powered on. Not just frying it.. but make sure there is a nice melt down

@faust I had to watch that 3 times because it was so Fing awesome.
That's one reason i try to stay away from "certain" electronics. I don't trust those damn batteries. I'm sure they screwed with the BIOS to cause that meltdown though.
I've seen alot of videos where peoples phones go nuclear.

A good business idea:

Well, I think it was not caused by BIOS, I guess there were modifications of battery.

@faust Well that sucks.. i was trying to look up what they meant by "Forced into a runaway state" but didn't see much about how to do it. Maybe i should have dug deeper LOL.

Still that would be wild to see a cops face when that happens to a laptop LOL

Looks same for me. If you have a 9-cell battery, that should be funny.

@one4all I once bought a vaporizer and did not take a receipt. When I got home, I started charging it and it was so hot like I have just touched a heated iron so I dropped it before realizing it is hot. The battery could actually explode because it was a pure overheat.

@one4all Almost all of the cases are peoples' fault. They modify pens and mechanic mods to make them more powerful and do not even think it is too much for the battery.
