In other news I've started making progress on my indie game again. I'm also nearly done with the new fire pit I've been making. I might try to finish the fire pit and put it to use today.

Damn, that sounds awesome! Is the fire pit a real life one, or is it going to be a part of the indie game somehow?

I've been 15 times since 2015

And I thought going there once was bad enough, but I can't imagine going there 15 times! Hopefully it actually helped you by going there instead of making things worse like it did for me.

Na it's a real one. Making a 3D fire pit with a full animation is pretty easy. I wish this one was only as easy because I've been digging it out for weeks lol. The gravel is supposed to be here either today or tomorrow.

I'm officially an old man now.
The local kids play out around the back of my house and they've been running over the bank and terracing I've been building and round the back of the garage where I keep the compost bins.
I actually don't mind, but they may wreck the work I've been doing (they already trashed the bricks supporting the composters), but more importantly, I'm fearful that they may slip on the muddy bank or loose rocks and hurt themselves.
So today, I shouted at a bunch of them to get off.
And...it made zero difference, they were all back later.
I'm starting to wish I'd left it all overgrown. It's not my land or my responsibility, I just decided it looked shit and wanted to improve it.
Now I'm going to have to find some gates or something and if they do trash stuff, just accept it. They're just being kids and having fun after all. Though they do drop their sweet wrappers all over the place, but then that's the world we live in, everything is disposable and someone else will clear up the mess.
Lol I felt so old, shouting at kids...

I felt like that last week end when my neighbours had a huge party and I hated every second of the debacle. I had a migraine and my usual anxiety, so I was extremely irritable. I used ear plugs, tried to meditate, and even put a pillow over my head to get some silence. Twenty years ago I was shouting myself hoarse at parties and was the last one standing. Poh!

What you need is a nice, progressive socialist country (j/k!). Here liquor and pot shops were considered "essential" and never closed for Lockdown. The line ups were long but they were open. The real test of... essence... will be in January when everything's shut down again and it's -35oC outside. Will you stand outside for an hour, waiting?
