Hello all -

I've been following this thread closely and have read the guide, Wiki, as well as reviewed online articles. I also watched the 2017 Toronto Nitschke presentation which seemed to follow all of the resources found on this site. I have a few questions as I have purchased and received both the SN and Tagamet. I plan to CTB at the end of this month.

1) In regards to Metoclopramide, does anybody have a recommendation as to how to best obtain a prescription? I plan on going to Urgent Care (a public 24/7 clinic, basically) and figured acute nausea would be a way. Does this hold up? Since I'm not medically minded whatsoever, I was hoping people could give me some talking points.

2) While the omission of Metoclopramide will not necessarily prevent CTB, are there specific chemical reactions that would be missed or is it merely made to allay severe instances of vomiting and nausea?

3) I am not a habitual user of drugs. In addition to ibuprofen, I plan on eating some marijuana edibles (my friend made them into a candy and they're potent as he has a card and gave these to me over a month ago) to help reduce anxiety. Will consuming this negatively affect the SN process?

That's correct, no antacid with domperidone. But I've heard that antacid is the least important thing for SN so don't worry about it. Sorry, I don't know about the opioids.

The suicide wiki page says opiates are recommended. In the tips section.

This is my first post here and maybe also my last. I ordered sn and now waiting for it. I want to cbt as soon as possible when it arrives. Now I have some questions about the medication. It turned out to be very hard to obtain Meto or Ranitidin in my country (Germany). But I already take Olanzapine, so do I even need another antiemetic? Anybody know now how much Olanzapine I should take on the day for the best possible outcome? Also I have Rennie at home. It's an otc antacid. Will that do? I'm scarred of failing and generally very anxious. Would really appreciate an answer. Good luck to all of you. May we all find peace

Hi,

It's mentioned that some anti-psychotics can function as an anti-emetic? I used to be on risperidone before I voluntary decided to stop taking it, and so as a result I have some leftover boxes of the stuff. On Stan's guide it says "Risperidone- 4,9 nM", what is this supposed to mean?

For example, what dose of risperidone should I consume to have the equivalent effect of 10mg of Metoclopramide? There is no "average dose" of risperidone as far as I'm aware; the dosage someone takes varies greatly depending on the psychotic symptoms you show, and so I have no idea what kind of dosage I should be looking at.

Any help is appreciate!

Wondering the same thing besides some over the counter aspirin, tums, and melatonin before. Don't want to lie to my doctors, don't want to talk to them at all. I might just order Emetrol and smoke some weed for nausea and pray I pass out before any vomiting.

This post will be dedicated to compiling all the information we have on the Sodium Nitrite method (SN), including what else is needed and comparing it to other popular methods.

Before starting, I HIGHLY encourage you read most, if not all, of the chapters on the PPH, as this method may not be the most suited for you.

First of all, let's discuss why this method works, and how it kills.

Spoiler: The effects of Sodium Nitrite

Sodium Nitrite, NaNO2, acts as a catalyst in the conversion of the hemoglobin in your blood into methemoglobin (MetHB), a molecule with a much higher affinity with oxygen. This occurs when the ferrous ions in the regular hemoglobin are converted into ferric ones.
Since it's affinity is so high, methemoglobin cannot let the oxygen flow into other tissues that need it, thus depriving them of oxygen even while you're breathing. Death, then, occurs by hypoxia.
Sodium Nitrite poisoning symptoms include nausea, vertigo, vomiting, very heavy headaches and, should you manage to not pass out for too long, seizures.
The PPH claims that, during a monitored suicide with SN, the patient was unconscious at 12 minutes and dead by 35. However, some sources claim that SN poisoning might take as much as 8 hours to kill, probably due to low dosage.
Since methemoglobin creation is a natural process in our bodies, you must be aware that a certain enzyme works to transform it back into hemoglobin again. This is why the recommended dosage has varied on the PPH so much, as the syntetization of these enzymes and their "power" to overcome the formation of MetHB depends purely on your body, thus making a normal, general dose for all who chose this method very hard to determine, unlike N.

As for the physical symptoms your body will experience, not much will really change. Since your blood will mainly be MetHB, it will take on a bluish chocolate brown color, and the tips of your fingers, toes and nose (amongst others) will turn slightly blue from cyanosis.

Now, lets take a look at the "shopping cart".

Spoiler: What is needed for this method?

You'll need the following:

SN: The main compund for this method, Sodium Nitrite is easy enough to find. You're looking for >98% purity Nitrite. This chemical is sold without regulation and can be bought from Amazon, Ebay or any lab supplier in your area. 100 grams cost between 8 and 10€. This chemical is completely legal to own and is used during curation of meats to preserve their color. It's described as "White to yellowish powder/crystals" and it's said to have "slightly salty taste". It is also very soluble in water.
The recommended dose from the PPH is 15 grams, however, this has increased on different issues, from only 5, to 12 and now to 15.
Very important: You're looking for Sodium Nitrite, not Sodium Nitrate; NaNO2, not NaNO3.
Should you not find it just by looking up Sodium Nitrite, look for: NaNO2, NNaO2 or Filmerine. Make sure you're buying what you want and that it's purity is high enough. For more information on it plus some industrial sellers, check Sodium Nitrite on Pubchem.

Antiemetics: Strong enough antiemetics for this method are not OTC, so you'll need to see your way around this. You're looking for Metoclopramide or any of it's commercial names, like Reglan/Primperan. This antiemetic needs to be a Dopamine blocker for it to work.
Antiemetics aren't 100% necessary for this method, however; just like with N, you wont accomplish anything if you end up puking it all out, which is likely. This will also most likely be the bulk of the money you'll use during this method.

Acid Regulators: Another thing recommended in the PPH is raising your stomach's pH to make the SN more effective. This can be accomplished with drugs like Tagamet (The one recommended on the PPH, 800mg, which is to my knowledge OTC) or even bicarbonate, though not as effective.

Spoiler: A few extra comments

I recently got asked a few things regarding SN. First of all, you must know that the effects of this poisoning are completely reversible. It is very unlikely that you will have any permanent damage should you be "saved" during your attempt. Secondly, since this method relies on hypoxia, cardiovascular problems will reduce the amount of MetHB in blood needed to actually kill you. This, however, shouldnt really be a problem since it is sold starting from 100 grams, far more than the amount needed.

Lastly, there have been cases of people recovering from SN poisoning without any "side effects", but even if the ambulance is called soon enough, it is not certain that you will survive.

If you don't have scales, then full tablespoon would be enough. it's about 20g.

If ordering SN within the UK should you use anything different than your own name, address and normal card details to pay? I'm not sure because I figure it's legal, so thought maybe it'd be fine, but don't want to make any mistakes before I even receive it.

However, the less complicated place I found still made me pay a small fee for the transportation of "dangerous substances", so I'm guessing there are going to be warnings on the package, and this might become a big problem for me.

I currently live in a place where the deliveries don't come directly to my house, and if there are warnings on the package, the people receiving it will certainly question me about it.

I don't think saying that I intend to cure some kind of meat with it is going to convince them, so I'm trying to talk to the seller to find a way of picking up the product somewhere other than where I live.

I can't be too pushy about it, as the seller would probably figure that something is off, so I will just cancel the order if I don't get the choice of picking it up.

Another idea I had was to receive the product in a hotel instead. I could stay on it for one or two nights by the date of the delivery and tell the reception that I am waiting for a package.

I bought my SN from ebay. It came from Poland in a small white jiffy bag. No warnings externally. Looks totally innocuous. The postman just put it through my letter box.

I don't see why not. Tramadol is an opiate and will make you drowsy if you take enough, whilst dulling any pain or discomfort from the SN. How much are you planning to take?

There is so much talks that SN is too salty and horrible in taste . Well i think it is really easy - just hold a spoon of honey in your mouth before and same after drinking SN ! Then the process will be already better just because u will not have this salty aftersmell in your mouth, i guess. Or is it wrong?
