PLEASE HELP! Signatures needed to advocate for assisted death in Canada

As some of you may know there is a new bill (Bill C-7) that is being brought to the table in Canada. This bill removes the requirement for patients applying for assisted death to have a "reasonably forseeable" natural death. However, this bill will also remove eligibility for those who have a mental illness (grrr!!). Due to covid the bill discussion has been pushed back until at least December.

Sign this petition to help convince the government of Canada to remove ALL requirements/criminal laws regarding assisted death! Assisted death should be available for EVERYONE who requests it!

You may be right. But at least we can help people suffering from physical chronic pain. Even if this bill is passed its a great step towards including people with mental illness! This petition will show the government that there are people who advocate for assisted death.

Hi there! This petition is asking the government to give access to assisted death to those who request it, regardless of age, mental illness, amount of suffering etc.

Bill C7 will remove the requirement that your death has to be reasonably foreseeable. However it explicitly discriminates against mental illness by excluding it as an eligible criteria. It is unconstitutional as you are not supposed to discriminate against a persons diagnosis. This new bill is opening euthanasia for physical disabilities. And openly discriminating mental illness.

I feel like if I could CTB safely and legally with the opportunity to say goodbye to the 1-2 people who still care about me, I might finally be able to overcome SI and pull the trigger. It's just so scary having to die scared and alone at home with some cocktail you found on the Internet (no offense to the extensive research done by people here, of course).
