Discussion Jumping from out of my window

What do you think? Is jumping from 8th floor window worth the shot? Or is the risk of staying alive and ending in a wheelchair or worse high enough not to attempt it? Cuz, I guess, we all can agree, none of us here would want to become disabled.

Considering its on the 8th floor I'm either going to guess you live in an apartment building or mansion. I'm leaning more towards apartment building and would be concerned about someone seeing me sitting on a window ledge and getting curious

I don't think that's high enough. Isn't each floor like 10 feet? So that's only like 80 feet? Correct me if I'm wrong that's just an assumption.

Some years ago there was a woman at the hospital I worked then. She jumped from the 6. floor and broke nearly every major bone in her body, but lifed. You can assume how life went on for her...

I don't think that's high enough. Isn't each floor like 10 feet? So that's only like 80 feet? Correct me if I'm wrong that's just an assumption.

In my building each floor is about 7 feet, so it's approximately 56 feet.

I guess the building itself is about 112 feet or so. A bit higher, maybe. Not much. The roof is not easily accessible((

Generally you want like 200 feet. UK has all the nice cliffs....

None of those are good options friend. Have you looked through methods threads?

I did look. I sorta chose "exit bag". But it needs time. And COVID is not helping

Even as a person who cuts I don't want to ctb by slitting my wrists! & pills are not a guaranteed method (though I have tried).
So yes of course we start thinking about jumping along with every single method that we come across (except those which we feel are beyond horrifying & could never consider doing to ourselves).
I hope you find something that works for you (or some way of being ok with continued existence).

Let's be honest here: no method is 100% guaranteed. You can survive a gun shot in the face. Or fall from the Golden Gate Bridge. Cyanide attempt even. The difference is in probability.
