He apparently talked to someone on Discord, and told the same story to the guy who later posted on Reddit. So unless there was another guy at the same time around the same bridge and later at that train station, it can't be anyone else. He would be back here sharing that story about the amazing coincidence, as there was one reported casualty.

What an awful world that people aren't allowed to die with dignity. It doesn't seem like he wanted to do what he did the way he did it, but felt there were no other options. Rest in peace to him. I have no other words other than I'm sorry. What a cruel society that doesn't have better help for people struggling, and worse when it fails to provide it forces you to suffer rather than allow you to exit peacefully.
