We have to help people find a better way than this. I have made many posts on this site, but have never started a thread myself. Perhaps that needs to change. Does anyone think an informative thread on hypothermia, which is the method I will use when my time comes, is needed? It's a peaceful way to go. And even totalitarian governments will find it difficult to ban cold weather. If enough people feel that such a thread is needed, I will start one.

There are many hypothermia threads on here. Ik the end of hypothermia is most likely peaceful but to reach that stage is probably very unpleasant. 10-15°C are already very uncomfortable for me but they most likely r not enough for hypothermia.

Thanks for the link. I had a look at that thread - and found a post of my own on it, which must be one of the earliest posts I ever made on this site. I dont think that thread is particularly good on useful, factual information, but if the subject has already been extensively discussed there is no point doing it all again. I'll hold off from starting a new thread, at least for the moment.

Perhaps we all respond differently to the cold. My husband dislikes it intensely. I know, from being out in the wilds a lot when I was younger, that it doesn't bother me nearly so much - though I vividly recall a rather unpleasant night at some insanely low temperature, when I was camping, alone, in the arctic in winter. Even two heavy, down sleeping bags, one inside the other, weren't very effective at keeping the cold out. Wish I was young enough to do crazy stuff like that again.

Perhaps in the way it happened, it appeared that way. Otherwise, it's an incredible coincidence. But I think the line would have been closed for much longer if an attempted murder or even murder by a second party did in fact occur. The line was closed for the usual time clean-up takes (2 hours). Although I don't hope for either scenario, I always go by the adage of when you hear hoofbeats, think horses not zebras. "Injury on the tracks" is TTC code for suicide, otherwise "medical emergency" or "security risk" would have been used. OP was inebriated so their movements may have looked unintentional.

I'm sitting hammered in the subway station watching trains fly by. It might be the way to go as against the idea of harming others as I am. If I don't reply within two days you can imagine what happened. Im determined. At the very least I'm not freezing anymore

I think they will do everything they can to avoid saying "suicide." Because it does not happen with trains, everyone knows that. Only SN.
But seriously, what are the chances? Same place apparently, 45 minutes after he said he's determined. I would absolutely love to see him back here saying that he will give life another shot. But all delusions aside, how many jumpers/pushers has there to be in Canada to be someone else?

Yes, looks like he's gone. Its in Toronto so thats not common, very unlikey to be a coincidence.

This is very sad that anyone had to resort to this kind of brutal method. I thought OP was going with the SN method. I hope they didn't feel any pain and have found their peace.

Hello could you please elaborate this thread? Surely it will help the comunity, there is no much detailed info about it. And i can see most part of users are located in North America or Europe, so extreme could weather is not a problem.

Rest in peace, I hope it was quick. While I'm not sure I could put someone else in a situation like this, it probably can have some very lasting effects for those directly involved. But at the same time, once you're gone, you're gone. You know longer have to care about what state you left behind.

It's sad because if there were just an assisted suicide service, he could have died privately in a non-brutal way.

It's definitely a brave method. I'd suffer for a lifetime before trying it, though. Nobody should have to clean bits of your brain, shit, guts, skull, and every other bit of your inside off the tracks and train itself.

Definitely not. I just have empathy for other people while I'm still among the living. There's no professional job description for "scrape brain matter off the tracks", no train engineer or railroad employee wants to see a mangled corpse like that. It won't even look human anymore. There's better ways.

Even still, it's not like my method is any better. I'm gonna be jumping today and the mess from that isn't much better. A fair bit, but not much.

Society, along with government, creates this horror by blocking all our peaceful methods such as nembutal and sn. Now they pay the price. Society, along with government, creates this horror by blocking all our peaceful methods such as nembutal and sn. Now they pay the price. I dont give a damm either and im glad op is finally free from his torment.

I think if a better option is available like Assisted CTB or euth or maybe guns then people should go for that option. But if not then train is good.
