Thank you for answering me. I'am not sure I manage with EEBD.I had trouble too, that's why I got the EEBD Hood instead--takes the guesswork

Thanks a lot @GasMonkey! That is I'm searching for. There is a PDF with instructions in the on-line version of the PPeH.
There's also a step-by-step video instructions titled "Doing it with Chi", along with nurse Betty's original guide, on the resources megathreadThanks a lot @GasMonkey! That is I'm searching for.
Thank you, I've seen the video "doing it with Chi", but his version seems to me a simple one (I don't know if his EB would work properly) , the online version of the PPeh is more complicated and seems more reliable. And as for nurse Betty's original guide - is it a video? There's also a step-by-step video instructions titled "Doing it with Chi", along with nurse Betty's original guide, on the resources megathread
Yes but it's in a folder on the resource threadAnd as for nurse Betty's original guide - is it a video?
I think the PPH mentioned CPAP face masks are prone to leaks from outside air as they don't provide a perfect sealwould this mask be better than the exitbag?
I would close the gas outlet.

Is there a particular EEBD hood that you are familiar with that would be reliable? What would be the specific procedure for using an EEBD hood? They look like a hood that fits loosely over the head. Are they as air tight as an SCBA? Would I need more Nitrogen with an EEBD Hood than with an SCBA? I only have a 18 CF tank.I discovered the other day a SCBA regulator that looks similar to an "industrial" Nitrogen regulator:

Maybe the setup with a Nitrogen regulator is possible if the regulator has enough quality and a low output pressure range, like this one that has a 0-10bar output (demand valves work at ~7.25bar):

This one would be even better coz it's dual-stage:

You should experiment with this @Das Nichts.
This stuff is interesting for regions where there is no air-to-nitrogen adapter to use a native SCBA regulator, but it is more simple to just get an EEBD hood and connect it to a Nitrogen regulator with a flow meter.![]()
I have the escMode EEBD hood, which is the same model on Vizzy's setup. It's good, bennydiazapine CTB'd with it.Is there a particular EEBD hood that you are familiar with that would be reliable?
1. Pre-fill hood (holding it atop the head). What would be the specific procedure for using an EEBD hood?
No, the fit on the head what holds it in place, it doesn't have straps. Are they as air tight as an SCBA?
Yep.Would I need more Nitrogen with an EEBD Hood than with an SCBA?
No, CPAP masks are not good to CTB.would this mask be better than the exitbag?
GasMonkey, do you know what bennydiazapine used for LPM when he used the Hood?I have the escMode EEBD hood, which is the same model on Vizzy's setup. It's good, bennydiazapine CTB'd with it.
1. Pre-fill hood (holding it atop the head).
2. Take a deep breath of air.
3. Insert head into the hood.
4. Adjust the inner mask on the face.
5. Exhale fully.
6. Take a deep breath of Nitrogen.
No, the fit on the head what holds it in place, it doesn't have straps.

Yep.
No, CPAP masks are not good to CTB.
Also any mask setup requires a demand valve (like SCBA/SCUBA), reservoir bag (like Non-ReBreather masks) or a HUGE flow rate (like the respirator mask+pump sets) to meet the demands of inhalation.
Yep.

So they have Nitrogen cylinders with both standards and you can pick which you want?
Yeah but "imported" within EU so no taxes.
@rejected's setup is pretty good for the US.I live in the united states. can someone tell me/link me exactly what to buy?
May be it's better to test your equipment with N2 cylinder + N2/Ar regulator with an EB on а dummy's head (to check how the regulator works and supports a certain lpm flow for a certain period of time, and test the EB) and after that refill your cylinder with N2?The best way to test any constant flow setup is to test it with air (that's what EXIT International did to determine the optimal flow rate for ExitBags). That increases the price a lot obviously since you need an air cylinder+air flow regulator but it's super cool to see the setup in action, test different flow rates and see that you can breath freely without problems, especially for homemade ExitBags.![]()
That way you don't test CO₂ purging, the dummy doesn't exhale.May be it's better to test your equipment with N2 cylinder + N2/Ar regulator with an EB on а dummy's head (to check how the regulator works and supports a certain lpm flow for a certain period of time, and test the EB) and after that refill your cylinder with N2?
the regulator must be tested at least once with a full cylinder
I've read, that @FromGermany warned many times about testing your equipment (your type of gas and the regulator) for at least 40 minutes.I don't think you need to spend so much gas in testing, once the flow control valve is open it's not gonna magically close without an external force, but if that test increases your confidence in the setup and you can refill the cylinder, it's ok.
FromGermany was banned from Sanctioned Suicide by Greenberg, too much inaccurate and misleadingly false information, you'd do well not to read anything that FromGermany has posted here in this threadI've read, that @FromGermany warned many times about testing your equipment (your type of gas and the regulator) for at least 40 minutes.
I bought the mask new, rest is second-hand, the seller told me the equipment has been in a warehouse and was never used in firefighting or similar, last inspection was in 2005.I have never seen a SCBA fail so I don't know. The most complex part is the demand valve.
Have you bought everything second-hand?
Price and availabilityNitrogen is 100%
And painless too why dont everyone on this site do it?
So it has never been used?the seller told me the equipment has been in a warehouse and was never used in firefighting or similar
