Yeah I read about earth being a prison but I really didn't want to believe it as being forced to reincarnate is probably my worst fear. Is there any way to break the cycle other than becoming enlightened?

I did hear a person saying if you don't want to reincarnate don't go into the light run from it, but to be honest, 100% I don't want rebirth but if there is a light I am going into it, who knows you could be stuck on earth as an orb, lol. apparently if you go into the light you will see all your family members and pets who passed, you will have divine knowledge, we will all know why we led this life, I'm sure it will be our choice to come back maybe spending 100, 200 years in heaven we will decide to have another crack at life.

Plus I have heard of people practising how to astral travel, out of body experience and learning how to increase your vibration so you will go into a higher realm, tons of information out there and loads of video's on YouTube.

My theory (and it makes sense if you think about it) is that, once you're dead, you can't experience time. Since you have no consciousness capable of experiencing time, googolplexes and googolplexes of years go by in the blink of an eye. Therefore, something has to happen. If it's not reincarnation, then it has to be your life reset somehow (maybe in some alternate universe?)

People say there is nothing after death. But if there is nothing after death, then how were we born here as humans in the first place, when there was no Earth, no Milkyway solar system; nothing?

Maybe its ground hog day every time we die we wake up in a different dimension with exactly the same life same parents and family everything is the same and the more times we experience the same life the greater the deja vu becomes, so we make different decisions and don't make the same mistakes again until we have a perfect successful happy life.

If there is just simply "nothingness" after death, then how are we existing right now?

Because we are alive lol. Do you remember the year 1919? No you don't because you didn't exist. And you won't exist again. Except as dust. And that's ok

How do you know we won't exist again? When the Earth and our galaxy didn't exist, there was "nothingness," like you have described. So what you're saying is, when there is "nothingness," you can't exist again. Yet here we are, alive and existing, from nothingness.

I always believed there was some cosmic meeting place and all my relatives would be waiting there for me. Plus, all my pets who've gone before me. After joining this site, doubts crept in and now I don't know. What if nothingness is awaiting us? My grandfather passed recently after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. He had terminal lucidity for a day before he left. It was such a gift. When hospice came to tell him they were going to help him pass, he was ready. He did say deceased relatives were in the room waiting for him. I just don't know what to believe.

I actually tend to believe this bc they say it so often.
And thats actually really sweet and beautiful, I mean, as it can be, he said he was ready and family members were there, that sounds like the best cenario that it could be. That kinda gives me hope.

I heard something similar from a different source. I don't know what to believe either.

I just hope it was really the deceased relatives, not imposters.

Nah, there's no fraud in the afterlife. This life here is the mecca for bad stuff. They talk about how wonderful they feel and the bright light. I really dont think its imposters.

Buddhism, Hinduism, and other similar religions say we reincarnate. They do speak of different dimensions of existence though. Perhaps, reincarnation can actually be turned down based on a person's desires?

Christianity say we go to Heaven / souls are at rest until Book of Revelation occurs. Maybe souls are going to be brought back to this dimension?

In this thread, we hear that dead relatives are there to comfort those close to death.

How are bad people punished then? People who are truly bad cannot be convinced they did something bad.

I'm just trying to create a picture here guys.

If we are trapped here on Earth, then I think our captors will NOT allow us to escape so easy even in death.

Our souls are valuable to them.

There is no learning if we get mind wiped. Having our minds wiped over and over again is like graduating preschool and then getting mind wiped and starting preschool all over again..

Exactly, you are getting it! Earth probably is a trap.

I wonder if karma is an actual thing? I think it sort of is.

I know it is used in your life review to get you to come back to Earth. Due to the universal law of free will, you have to agree to comeback here, no one can force you.

I dunno honestly, if I was dealt a different set of cards I might go on like groundhogs day until I get it right. But it is what it is and I have no clue. I'm also willing to risk it, the mind must be wiped before reincarnation, otherwise everyone would be talking about it. So bring it on universe!

I know in my case, if it turns out that Christianity is correct, a fiery hell will be waiting for me after everyone's souls are resurrected and judged. That is because I used to be a Christian and became an apostate later on. Oh well, at least winter will be mild in my afterlife... :pfff:

Would becoming aware of my breath throughout the day while I'm working, walking etc be good enough?

I heard walking meditation is a thing, so it possibly is. However, I am not a good source on this because I haven't started meditating myself.

Theres no way to know how much if any is really out there. We all get there, eventually. Ctb is really just an alteration of when, how and other circumstances. I do hope theres some kind of love there. Fkn knows there wasnt any here for me lol its my turn in death. Damnit
Absolutely right. I don't fear death because when I die I won't even realize I was ever alive. The only people who can truly answer what it's like don't exist anymore.
