  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

As per title. Please provide quotations, or even better, sources for any material evidencing his views on this subject.

I'd like to add that I really admire Kevorkian; his compassionate, progressive view on assisted dying is a breath of air in a stale, state-dominated prison of suffering.
His views drip with mercy and repugnance at the state's callousness and ability to mandate horrendous, unnecessary misery.
He was a man with a fire in his belly, a passion to use his considerable skills to support those in need.
To me he died a hero, a champion brave enough to face human suffering and endure the associated risks. A man that paid the price of imprisonment to help desperately ill people fulfill their wishes.

May he rest in Peace.

Very good post, LoveTakes. I don't have an answer to your question, but I strongly suspect he supported euthanasia on demand for any reason. He also supported anti-natalism. He never had children. And one of his attributed quotes is " The worst day of my life was the day I was born".

Interesting info!
I wasn't aware of said quotation. Seems indicative of some pretty deep depression.
Breaks my heart to think that perhaps Kevorkian suffered from depression, although it would make a lot of sense- someone who understands depression intimately would understand and be willing to help others who suffer.
