Italy is mormouring about a second lockdown. Except Italians did since the 4th of may (date of 1st lockdown end). We have had 8k cases, 83 deaths (even though we count as positive people who died by drowning) and 563 in ICU. There are already plenty of people who are killing themselves over this hypotesis. Plus, Italy's economics was already tremendous, a second lockdown will bring us to be bought by China.
I'm going to ctb soon if I my guts will continue to assist me, but in case of a second lockdown I will be 100% ctb'ing.
How's your country now? How has covid/lockdowns affected your decision to ctb?

I'm from Czech Republic and we are the 2nd worst in the world right now. And you guys are not even in top 5 so it could definetly be worse. Not that it changes anything, just remind yourself that the pandemic will be over in some amount of time and it will eventually "go back to normal" people lived through pandemics before so it's not a new thing. But if you still feel the same all I can say Is good luck and have a nice journey I guess

same in the UK mate. my sister actually mentioned it to my mum weeks ago, she thought we might go back into lockdown. she said the ICU etc at the hospitals are full. we came out of it too soon and people acted as if it had suddenly gone away( the same people that will be moaning about the possibility of another lockdown).

I've been severely depressed for years. Not a big fan of life at all, as I like to call myself, but the pandemic put a stop on my will to live. Yes people lived but i'd like not to spend three or four years like this

Yeah I understand. I'm depressed too and never wanted to be here in the first place. Do whatever feels right...just make sure you're 100% certain

this is going to effect the whole world for a good while i think. it didn't help that we had been in a recession not too long before it aswell. its not my reason to ctb. it doesn't actually bother me at all. but i am not socialising or working so it doesn't worry me one bit!! i stick to the rules though, even though i want to CTB.

I personally don't thing death is very scary anymore, I've come to terms with it and I feel a bit calmer about it. I don't want to seem like I'm suggesting anything.

I don't think I could go through another lockdown in the UK. All the queueing to get into places, everywhere closed etc, being stuck inside 4 walls. OK, so you're thinking, what's the difference between lockdown and how I live now? There isn't much, I don't go out a lot, I don't socialise etc BUT, if I wanted to, the options would be there. Outside of lockdown I can visit my mother, I can get her groceries if I need to, I can go out myself to shops other than grocery stores, there isn't a one in one out policy, the list goes on. I like knowing my freedom is there if I want to take it.

were really close you know, they have been debating it the last few days. its been in the news! i think it is a short term one rather than a long term like it was.

I know what you mean about the freedom think. its not that you want to do this or that. its the point that you can if you want.
Best of luck to you :)
and you aswell :) i'm sure everything will get back to normal eventually, i mean there have been pandemics before. i'm just hoping i'm not around by then, well i won't be 100%!!

I think at some point we will have to learn to live with the illness as we cannot keep going in and out of lockdown. People just won't adhere to it I don't think, the country is very unstable right now, that's another thing that bothers me, the social unrest.
You hit the nail the head with the freedom thing. Thanks for explaining it better than my waffling lol.

I'm in US and anyone who has been following our shit show of politics knows it's bad here and was poorly handled here. I'm terrified of round 2 of the virus where everything is out of stock again. I just don't want to even face round 2 of this virus...our incompetent leaders butchered it and will continue to do so. Grocery delivery needs to be a mandatory thing for all locations.

I wonder if the day will come covid is just treated like the flu and no one cares anymore? I care I just wonder.

The spanish flu after three years became another random of influenza strain, as the Hong Kong flu in the 60s (sorry I can't remember its "scientific" strain name). I think covid will do the same...plus a vaccine is on its way. And people saying a vaccine didn't cure influenza don't know what they're talking about, since the flu is less and less deadlier every year

we came out of it soon.i think if we had gone another month or so we might of been ok. obviously i cannot guarantee that, just what i think. when we came back out of it, everyone just assumed it was gone. you could see it with the people visiting the beaches etc, i don't think people are taking it serious enough. i still go out now and see people without masks etc on, its proper ignorant and selfish i think. there is too much contradictory information out there aswell. although its a new thing and no1 has seen it before so i don't totally blame the government etc.

so i can stand on my neighbours door step, but can't go in the house. now how stupid is that. i think thats why total lockdown is better as their is no leeway, people just have to stick to it. but tlike you said we can't just keep going in and out every few months.

massive problem now is its christmas nearly and alot of business' make aloof money this time of year so its the worst time for it all to happen!!

the whole lot i have been thinking why is it any different sat in a back garden than in a house. the police wont enforce it, you got footballers catching it left right and centre(probably the least likely people i can imagine sticking to the rules, and it shows). no wonder no1 takes any notice. i can totally see why the areas that are high risk at the moment, are. its down to peoples attitudes, but it doesn't help footballers and people on TV, people in charge of the countries etc getting it. as people will know they aren't sticking to the rules.

my sister is looking after wards of these people and hasn't got it. thats coming into direct contact with it. so people saying they caught it but were sticking to the rules is BS IMO.

Getting bought by China would still be better than being an US' puppet like now.

As for the second lockdown, seems like they want to avoid it but I heard Campania is already closing down so Idk
