Looking into some unique ways to go, apparently the stories of this place are a fairly large river goes through mostly underground channels at a certain point and it is said that anyone who goes into the river at this point is never seen again.
I imagine you'd drown in a few minutes after being stuck inside of some underground cavern that the river passes through, but no chance of rescue and no equipment needed. Just a quick swim before the Strid begins.
Looks like the area might be patrolled and the have no swimming signs posted, so like most populated places you'd have to be quick and not hesitate once you're ready.
