I was prescribed originally back in 2017, 50 tablets of diazepam for a flight. The cocktail of valium, codeine, nicotine, alcohol, and hydrocodone while in the States was the best experience I've had in my life.

Came back and had interestingly not physical but mental withdrawals. Felt very agitated but no seizures or anxiety. Started mindlessly forging prescriptions and got a total of 600 tablets before being cautioned by police in my country. Luck for me I live in a lax European country cause if I was in the States, I'd be in jail on multiple felony charges.

After forging the police gave me advice to just do it legally and go to a doctor. Was absolutely desperate and went to my GP. When he heard Xanax he knew I was drug seeking and denied me. That emotional feeling of being denied benzos compared with the withdrawal I was undergoing gave me the most instantaneous crushing depression I've ever had. That night, I tried overdosing on paracetamol but failed. I was in a haze and pawned of all my stuff to get other drugs instead before being admitted to a mental hospital for drug addiction and psychosis two months later.

As you can see, my experience with benzos hasn't been too positive but boy, do they work. I don't know if anyone else experiences this but they made my emotions flat and stable in a GOOD way. I had an argument with my mother and it didn't make me angry or want to retaliate. It also didn't ruin my mood, I just went about my day. Wouldn't be possible sober,

Here in UK/Ireland it's notoriously difficult to get benzos, especially for more than two weeks.

My doctor didn't agree to give me sleeping pills, so I bought from a drug dealer.
Clonex and diazepam, both of them one big nightmare
I started with the clonex (2 mg) first- very calm, like my anxieties can't really hurt me, but my Derealization got so worse
I had only ten pills of clonex so I moved to the diazepam (5 mg, somedays 10 mg, I used around 20 pills total)- the same shit, didn't really help my sleep, I breathe so slowly with the pills.

About a week ago I felt so tired without taking diazepam (miracle :ohhhh::ahhha:) and I went to sleep, and I actually had a really good sleep that night.
So I stopped taking it, the only good thing about Derealization is that you feel Addictions very unclear

Currently now I don't take any benzo and I feel so wire, I don't really understand everything but I got use to it

None of them helped my sleep (that was the purpose).
And my mind don't like drugs, any kind of drugs, just don't react good to them.

I think that if you'll go to your doctor and tell him that you used to buy them from the street and you want to stop but you can't sleep without them, they can offer you to build a plan for you, and prescribed you the pills, and in time recover you
I don't know how the system works in Europe, but I think it's worth trying

I was prescribed ativan for anxiety before, and didn't notice any addictive effects until I experienced withdrawals after forgetting to fill a prescription.

Holy shit, benzos are a good part of the reason I'm here! Horrific experience and I only started taking them when a gearbox coworker offered me some when all I was taking was natural supplements, if I hadn't started on meds I most definitely wouldn't be here
Peace/hugs

I was prescribed ativan after having anxiety symptoms from a cardiac issue and misdiagnosis. They literally only prescribed me 8 pills of the lowest dose imaginable. Can't say it helped because I was on it only a week --- and they didn't help my anxiety.

I've been prescribed Klonopin for over a year and I take it rarely, usually when I'm in the midst of a panic attack. It works well for me and I have no addiction or withdrawal symptoms to report.

I take ativan (lorazapam) twice a day and temazapam at night, and I have done so for quite some time. I am an insomniac. I used ambien first, but I became immune to it. I also use benedryl and melatonin as part of my nightly cocktail. The benzos are now a controlled substance and I usually have to show ID. Last year I was required to submit a urine test to make sure I was taking the drugs. My insurance regularly complains about me taking the ativan and temazapam, but the cost is low enough that it isn't a problem to pay. I don't think I'm physically addicted to them, but mentally, I'd say yes. I have had pharmacists give me a hard time if I was trying to re-fill early. My sleep meds are prescribed by my psychiatrist. I also don't know if the ativan is very effective (treated for depression, too), but I don't want to give it up, either. It's definitely a crutch that I have had to use for sleep on occasion, more than 1 dose. Just 1 1mg doesn't make me sleepy.

I've been prescribed Valium, clonazepam, Ativan and oxazepam for anxiety and temazepam, Halcion for sleep in the past. I've also taken Xanax that I bought off the black market.

My experience is that when I used to take them PRN (not every day) they were great. Made me feel so relaxed and just killed anxiety dead. More recently I used them on a constant, multi dose per day basis and I've just gotten really tolerant to them plus had horrific experiences of withdrawal. I can't even describe what withdrawal was like. There are no words.

So I don't take them anymore basically.

I've been prescribed three different benzos: xanax, klonopin, and ativan. At the doses prescribed they did absolutely nothing for me. Idk if they would help my anxiety if I took more than the prescribed dose but I'm not really interested in even trying. I've never had mental withdrawal from a medication but I've had physical withdrawal symptoms from antidepressants and it's just awful, makes me extremely sick to my stomach and just a lot of physical discomfort overall

Valium one hell of a drug, I kinda liked it. Once I lost an entire day... Just sat there watching tv sipping beer - unconscious for 24 hours! When i came to i could swear it was the same day's evening...

I refuse to take them, so the doctors keep trying to prescribe them for me. Ironic much? If I do want anything they won't give it to me and if I don't want it they try and force me. Doctors...

I take Diazepam! For my severe anxiety. I'm only allowed 14-28 tablets every 8-12 weeks. The doctors in uk hate prescribing them because if potential addiction. 2mg if diazepam doesn't do too much for me but it's better than nothing. I've taken other benzodiazepines in the past. For insomnia and anxiety. Years ago I had a Temazepam addiction. The green egg/ jellies. Coming off benzodiazepines is hell. I have a love / hate relationship with them.

I take clonazepam and temazepam currently. Benzodiazapines have been a lifesaver for me. It's the type of medication that needs to be respected. I've been on the same dose of Clonazepam since 2017. 0.5mg to 2mg daily for mostly anxiety reasons. It's easy to get carried away and take a few more. Temazepam is for insomnia, it's probably alright if you haven't been taking a "more potent" benzo for years. No withdrawals yet, though it's going to suck tapering off Clonazepam if I choose to ever do so. Valium is pretty good as well, comparable to Klonopin in my opinion. Overall an A+ experience.

Damn I wish. In Canada they will try EVERYTHING before they even consider prescribing you benzos. I've tried and no luck thus far

HAHA! Last night I actually got sleepy! My dreams are making me crazy - it's like I'm looking for something and just can't resolve it. I wake up tired.

I take Xanax & klonopin. I've been on them for many years-Probably 10. I decreased the Xanax recently down to 0mg (was taking 1mg at nite), & now I am just taking the clonazepam & smoking pot or hash oil. I think I will eventually cut the daily klonopin out too. I hear it permanently effects memory. So I wanna get off & just use something for emergencies. I think they are helpful in low doses, but harmful in higher doses, especially when used for extended periods of time.

Hi,
I use Valium (5 mg) on a regular basis. My doctor is the kind that actually listens to my, understands my difficult life, and trust me when I describe my needs. Valium is a soft drug (my opinion), compared to SSRIs and Oxy (painkillers). I have used Valium the last 4y, after a severe traffic accident. I use it relaxation, not for sleep or depression. Valium is a lifesaver for me, living with a huge amount of stress (my mum's about to go away) the last 10 years. Withdrawel isn't a problem. I've done it several times. If I don't take Valium for months, they work better when starting up again.
Wish you all a nice weekend
Lots of loveS

I love diazepam! Anything less than 10mg does nothing for me. I haven't had any for a long time because dr's don't like prescribing it and if they do it's usually 2mg so I end up taking them all in one hit to get the desired effect.

I've purchased gelenika online but they didn't have the same effect, they made me really angry and agitated which was annoying.

I haven't had withdrawls from them, I have from anti-depressants and anti-psychotics - shivers, shakes, cold sweats, vomiting - awful, truly awful!

Oh how I would love some diazepam right now!

From what, clonazepam??
Well all Benzodiazepines and Z drugs will give retrograde amnesia. I've been prescribed the whole gamut of Benzos and Z drugs and Tamazepam and Zopiclone are bad for retrograde amnesia. I've been prescribed Loprazalam, Lorazepam, Lormatazepam, Diazepam, Nitrazepam, Oxazepam, Tamazepam Zopiclone, Zolpidem and a couple of others...... Sorry my brain is rubbish today ( not much sleep )
I've never had Clonazepam so I couldn't comment on that one but I can imagine it's like the others.
Retrograde amnesia isn't pleasant. .. It's quite scary when one can't remember things after taking Benzos. I hope whoever takes them is careful as to my mind.... It's like being blackout drunk. I'm a benzo veteran and I've done a few naughty things on Benzos..... Nothing too bad though. But still. All I'm saying is to people taking them is to be careful. Used properly they can be helpful and useful. If used at the correct dose that is prescribed. Using too many is a bad idea. I guess cats what I'm talking about with The retrograde amnesia.

Will 0.5 mg daily dose also have this amnesia effect?

No I don't think It would. Benzos need to be taken at a higher dosage than that. If 0.5 mg is taken once or twice a day then I really don't think that you would experience retrograde amnesia.

I've took benzos, many brands, types, etc for over 20 years... prescribed and forged prescriptions.
Rohypnol was the best blue pill ever, even tasty with a Vanilla Coke.
years, on benzos, like 3 totally wasted car crashes... plus other minor bumps and accidents....

I refuse to take benzos for long time now... specially since I escaped depression with Testosterone and Dianabol, but Dianabol (Dbol) , got my liver.... I found out because I had 2,3 months of really bad insomnia, so I travelled to my city, and forge presciption, even ask my parents to get me some... after they saw I just wouldnt sleep they agreed... serious insomnia...

Had some Xanax and Diazepam..... and took a pill and nothing!!!
two pills, 3 hours sleep!
2 Xanax plus Diazepam... louse 7 hours of sleep... so I thought my liver was not drawing medicines...
Liver blood tests... damm the liver is off the charts..
today... twenty days later... drinking vitamin B , taking shots... stopped the Dianabol...

Benzos... there they are.... also I have some weed, but I dont want to smoke anymore... it makes me dumb and feel like doing nothing....

benzos? I really dont want to need them, I'll stay away if I can... I wont talk about withdrawal symptoms, because thats another story... plus mixed with other drugs I could not tell ... other than that.. I've seen withdrawals symptoms on AA buddies, even a brother of mine.... but come one, I popped more pills than him, im skinner than him, and he got the worst withdrawal symptoms? anyway....

I definitely wont throw them away.
I just dont want to need them.

You have to be really careful with benzos, I wasn't so at a point of my life I was taking 10-20 a day. Xanax. Now with much effort I'm down to 2-3. Depends on your condition. Im still trying to find an alternative to it.
