I had to play the game too I really love this series and game and even recently I've been collecting the angels of death episode.0 volumes

That's awesome I haven't checked out the game. I loved the series and I see the attraction of an ending open to interpretation but I really really wanted to see him grant her wish. How did it end in the game?

If I were to list the popular anime, it would be Evangelion, Elfenlied, Chainsaw Man and Steins;Gate? (Death Note is the only anime I've ever watched, I tried Evangelion in 2023 and it was just too boring and toothless.)

Could you suggest anything resembling Death Note? There was a scene of cold-blooded calculated murder, and I loved it so much @_@ (but seriously, the tension between L and Light was legendary, man on man, 1v1, a duel of wills, akin to Arthas vs Illidan).

Hmm I'd probably have some more ideas another day but right now I can think of

The story of Kaiji is very real it's not a generic protagonist wins everything through the power of love and friendship it's about kaiji going through different gambling scenarios with huge stakes it has a very death note type of feel to it, it's like a chess battle between the 2 gamblers with 2 different strategies and it creates this feeling of intensity due to the fact that even though kaiji can make genius master plans they don't always succeed.


Anime- talentless nana

In the future, Earth is attacked by extraterrestrial monsters known as the Enemies of Humanity. But fear not! A group of talented teenagers is being trained to deal with the alien menace. Among them is pink-haired Nana, who doesn't seem to have any powers,
the truth is that monsters don't exist. In the eyes of the Talentless, the real Enemies of Humanity are the Talented themselves. Nana has been sent by them to kill every student at the school, and she will stop at nothing to achieve her goal. But this will be harder than it seems.

I don't know how I didn't see this trailer till yesterday, I'm looking forward to it, I'm interested to see how the story plays out all together.

nausicaa of the valley of the wind: i think it's my favorite of hayao miyazaki's works. it's set in a post-industrial apocalyptic yet fantastical world. nausicaa is a really endearing beacon of hope and kindness who's trying to make the best out of a world that's seemingly descending into further war and environmental ruin. it's a bit of a slower movie compared to spirited away or princess mononoke, but i think this one is miyazaki's purest and most powerful work, there are some sequences that elicit more emotion out of me than anything else you can find in his other works. the manga is even better too!

Anime- The case of Hana & Alice

Alice transfers to a new school, where students believe that one student per school year is cursed, whom they call Judas Iscariot. Alice is deemed the new Judas, but what happened to the former Judas?

I have to recommend Haibane Renmei, it's such a beautiful anime, combined with the lovely soundtrack, it creates a warm and surreal atmosphere that's almost dreamlike. As the story starts progressing in the later episodes, darker tones and themes start developing, which create a melancholic mood in addition to the rest.
The story, in short, is about dealing with guilt and seeking forgiveness. I fell in love with it the moment I heard the song used in the opening:

This is a great choice, 10/10 everyone should watch this.

Anime-
NOW AND THEN, HERE AND THERE


It is about a kid who is sucked to another world by helping a mysterious girl and wants to return home. Going to the other world, he must save her and possibly overthrow the hegemony of a mad dictator. It seems similar to Alice in Wonderland but far from its childish playfulness. I like this anime not for its dark themes but how it presents its story. It is gripping and hypnotizing all throughout without being dramatic or superfluous although this is not for the faint of heart or the casual.

I wanted to share it here still since it is a good bittersweet scene I really enjoyed from the series, yea it doesn't have phenomenal animation whatsoever but I truly did like the story still and I enjoyed watching it, perhaps you will to, I may have even recommended this in the past already, either way perhaps you'll enjoy or already have!
