Golden Boy is peak. Follows the story of a 25 year old play boy that hops from job to job, and blueballs himself from getting girls. Funniest anime right up there with GTO and Prison School and can be finished in a sitting since it's only 6 episodes

Wonder Egg Priority, Kaiju No. 8, A Silent Voice and The Girl Downstairs (this is a 动画/donghua; can donghua be considered anime?) are enjoyable to watch, although the ending of the former (Wonder Egg Priority) is quite disappointing, to be honest haha ^_^

Summary no spoilers:
At first glance, it seems unlikely that Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura would ever become acquaintances. Hori's striking appearance and academic excellence sharply contrast with Miyamura's reserved and distant demeanor. Nonetheless, as their paths intertwine, they expose a previously unknown side of themselves. Hori is overburdened with household obligations which leaves her with little time for socializing, while Miyamura conceals his body art under a subdued, rebellious persona at school. In spite of their contrasting personalities, Hori and Miyamura rapidly discover a common bond and form a strong connection. They frequently spend time together at Hori's place, revealing various aspects of themselves buried beneath public appearances.

All good choices in my opinion I really did enjoy Horimiya but overall I liked Golden time more I just fell in love with the The entirety of the series.

Just finished Madoka Magica wirh a friend yesterday and it's easily one of my favourite animes now. Loved the story, characters, everything.

Anime- Blade & Soul


Alka is an assassin for the Clan of the Sword. She's on a journey to find the woman who killed her master Hon. This woman is demon-like creature who controls the Energy of Chaos and kills without feeling - not unlike how Alka has learned to kill in her work as an assassin. On her journey, Alka encounters three strange women, each great warriors in their own right, and grapples with her slain master's wish that she leave the life of an assassin behind.

1. Night on the Galactic Railroad, surreal anime based on the classic novel by Miyazawa Kenji about grief and death, with music by Hosono Haruomi from Yellow Magic Orchestra. It's very comforting.

2. The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Ghibli founder Takahata Isao's swansong. Beautiful anime about the simple and utterly crushing sadness of living in a certain type of Asian family. I really like the scene of Kaguya returning to the moon.

Speaking of which I would love someone to talk to, I like older shojo manga such as Godchild, Petshop of Horrors, Banana Bread Pudding, Heart of Thomas etc. Some more anime I like are Shiki, Terror in Resonance, The Mystic Archive of Dantalian, Ikuhara's works etc. I am in a very unstable situation and might get quite busy but could really use some company.

YES I ACTUALLY JUST watched pom poko last year or the year before that not to long ago but, how they drew the transformations for one was something I found so fascinating especially for how old it is, I think about how hard and how much time they put into this work of art they've made, did you like

Movie- Grave of the Fireflies

A devastating meditation on the human cost of war, this animated tale follows Seita Tsutomu Tatsumi, a teenager charged with the care of his younger sister, Setsuko Ayano Shiraishi, after an American firebombing during World War II separates the two children from their parents. Their tale of survival is as heartbreaking as it is true to life. The siblings rely completely on each other and struggle against all odds to stay together and stay alive.
One of my favorite Ghibli films for sure.

It's all based on I believe Akiyuki Nosaka semi-autobiographical short story on his experiences before an during and after the firebombing of Kobe in 1945.

has anyone else watched Uninhabited Planet Survive? i watched it when i was young then completely forgot about it and only recently found it again. it was a good watch for me and brought to the forefront of my mind memories long forgotten.

YES I ACTUALLY JUST watched pom poko last year or the year before that not to long ago but, how they drew the transformations for one was something I found so fascinating especially for how old it is, I think about how hard and how much time they put into this work of art they've made, did you like

A devastating meditation on the human cost of war, this animated tale follows Seita Tsutomu Tatsumi, a teenager charged with the care of his younger sister, Setsuko Ayano Shiraishi, after an American firebombing during World War II separates the two children from their parents. Their tale of survival is as heartbreaking as it is true to life. The siblings rely completely on each other and struggle against all odds to stay together and stay alive.
One of my favorite Ghibli films for sure.

It's all based on I believe Akiyuki Nosaka semi-autobiographical short story on his experiences before an during and after the firebombing of Kobe in 1945.

Lovely to hear you like it too. The transformations really are spectacular. I especially love the ghost parade, and the scene of the riding archer's arrow hitting a fan held up by a lady on a boat, adapted from a battle in the Genpei war (it is a period I am very interested in). I like the depiction of thwarted efforts too.

I also watched Grave of the Fireflies but did not like it as much. But I do think the author blamed himself too much, it is not easy to be the eldest child.
