My mom decided shes gonna suddenly stay a week in my apt and i think im going to go insane, i am trapped and cant do anything about it while going through the most intense sui episode rn lol......... anyway :D

Anybody got good anime recs that actually made you feel something (or stuff you rewatched recently)? Older/nostalgic from 2000s is my comfort era of anime for sure. If you know any with themes of CTB or generally depressing atmosphere pleeaasee share

I rewatched death note and GTO (great teacher onizuka). Highly recommend GTO for weebs that like comedy, but it does have pervy themes for anybody avoiding that. (However i really felt a lot for the characters and stories and think it has a lot of value for anybody that can overlook that.)

I can recommend more but honestly looking to watch some new stuff to help distract myself this week :p

spoilers for DN:
my favorite scene in death note was the end with misa in her gothic lolita outfit taking the train and standing on the roof before she CTB. lol.

Hello there :) Death note's a great one! This one scene always gets me.
The part where that one person takes the stairs up to heaven, even though it's not her own will.

I recommend death parade! It's not that old, but it is depressing. I don't want to give you any spoilers since I think it's better going in blind for death parade, but I could if you prefer (or if you search online there's probably the whole plot somewhere). I cried watching that more than once. I rewatched certain episodes a number of times, too.

Another depressing one: psycho-pass.
I never finished terror in resonance, but that one's also a depressing one and the ED hits me in the feels every time. Although the lyrics sound a bit more imaginative, but the way she sings it makes my heart wrench.

And I don't recommend sword art online, but there is this one scene in the alicization/underworld arc that always makes me cry.
It implies that the protagonist is trying to give up on living and just die at that one point before he's convinced not to by someone really important to him.

Yay!! : D Let me know what you think if you do ^^ Yeah, honestly I can't recommend SAO in good faith because of how questionable it is for many reasons. But I really liked the protagonist's relationship with a new character in the Alicization & Underworld arcs, hehe

Texhnolyze, I watched it a long time ago and it feels like it could be interesting for you; it's quite unique in a sense and the atmosphere feels kinda depressing

Kotaro lives alone. I haven't finished it but it is a balance of cuteness and sadness.

terror in resonance and lain. If it's your cup of tea you'll get the hang of them pretty quick even though they might be more slow paced at first.
