The Sacro suicide machine was tested yesterday and found to create the low oxygen environment required for the user to take their own life.
If I'm understanding the production of this machine correctly, anyone with access to a (very advanced) 3d printer will be able to make one.

It is hard to get access to the machine, I guess?

Let's say you have a 3D printer, then you still need the design of the Sarco..

The DeBreather is/was easy to access. There are unfortunately no success stories I can remember. Somewhere in August PN would give an update about the new version of the Debreather. I am curious..hmm

The design is open source free to legally acquire

A printer to make such a large machine would be very expensive and require know how. And after doing some research near where I live, to buy nitrogen isn't possible unless you have an established business that needs it.

So while it's nice to have that shown it's yet another frustrating item not available to the rest of us.

What is really needed is more easy simple ways to ctb that anyone has access to.

I see they are selling the plans for the printing of that rather than selling the actual machine. Expect those plans to be outlawed.

Exit international should focus on one product at a time. The debreater, remember that product?

People are still literally "dying for the product". Pun completely intended.

Edit international, your slogan should be "people are so excited about our products that they're dying to get their hands on them".

In the meantime... we're still waiting for the debreather.

The debreather is not their product. The sarco is. And the maker of the debreather is redesigning it to make it more idiot proof. Some morons were not using it correctly.

I had asked someone somewhere what 3d printer "ink" costs since regular printer ink is made from unicorn blood and was told the ink itself isn't bad.

There will always be morons who do things wrong.

Is the maker of the debreather afraid someone will try to kill themselves and fail and sue the maker for failing to deliver?

Is there an "iron clad guarantee"? We guarantee that the debreather will kill you peacefully or your money back?

Emphasis on "try"...

In the back of my mind, I feel the same way. Everything he does; he charges an arm and a leg. Examples include fee-paying ExInt website, PPH book which is regularly updated, annual conferences, and his MDB regulators. And now with his Sarco, he probably has beneficial ownership of 3D printing service providers too! What is worse, he was or is a medical doctor. I realize he is providing a service or product, where does his commercialism end?

It would be nice if more of these products and his books were free. I get that. Still, I personally like Dr. Nitschke. As a doctor he knows the hell people can go through with extended illness, mental or physical, or even just not wanting to live a long time. He can make millions for all I care. He invests in products like this and advocates for assisted suicide legalization. We finally have legalized assisted suicide in Canada and I believe advocacy of Dr. Nitschke's, and others like him, played a large part in opening peoples' eyes to the realizing that ctb is not a bad thing.

They sort of throw whatever they come up with at the wall to see what sticks. They have to keep coming up with new inventions to have people subscribe to their stuff. They know we have hope to one day find something we can stand to use so they dangle the carrot on the stick. If they actually came up with something we all could use they would lose subscribers.

I emailed the warehouse of debreather. They say they'll supply again after September (e.g. September 1st).

Is it only me, or Dr. Nitschke is enriching himself too much at our expense? For instance to get access to the Sarcos plans, I would need to purchase his $200+ book!
I don't think he charges anything people aren't willing to pay. And beyond that, the org has huge legal fees andoffers free legal support in some cases so I'm happy to support. You don't have to. And the printing cost doesn't send any money to them.

I can't speak for the designer. I believe the official wording is that the prodict can cause death but not that it should be used for it. I imagine that's for legal purposes because of the idiotic world we live in. I'd cut the designer some slack. They're taking a lot of risk on to help people.
Suicide shops??

I hope they don't open at all!

It would be better if society started to actually do something about the reasons why people take their own lives.
Cure excruiciating chronic pain, illness? Society is doing something about that. Regardless, suicide should always be a human right.

I don't think it works. The more I read about the more it sounded like it wouldn't. People were saying the process was too uncomfortable and I can see how it would be. It sounds like it simply suffocates you.

As much as I wished for this to be widely available, thus saving us the trouble of obtaining more gruesome and potentially less reliable methods, I don't see that happening anytime soon. Ideally, yes, if this was made available, legal, and accessible (with checks and oversight to prevent abuse and to ensure the person really wants to CTB and go), then I would certainly go for such a method rather than my current one (firearms).

Let's be realistic there to. That will also never happen. Currently the best method is to remove someone from their home, job, etc for long enough that the person most likely will lose their job. And if it is found out where they went if they rent then they will be kicked out. Then just talk it out, stick drugs into the person, or use electricity as a form of lobotomy.
Maybe it works and maybe it doesn't at times. But it doesn't actually solve anything. The underlying problem is still there. If it is genetics then drugs generally won't fix this. As soon as the person stops taking them, gets use to the drugs, or some mix makes them go nuts. It doesn't fix the genetic problem. If it's situational, then it doesn't fix that since talking things out normally never fixes not having a job, having a shit family, or 99% of other problems.

Take a look at our prison system or welfare locations. It's built in a way to hide the undesirables. You have people who serve their time and the job market doesn't want them, and landlords don't want them. We have a ton more problems to fix than way some Joe blow wants to die.
Maybe when this society dies like the Roman empire and something comes back. Maybe then we will see a change. But I doubt it.

Note current society can't even agree what a fe/male is. How do you expect it to figure out how to save people from wanting to die that isn't killing/suppressing parts of the human brain or locking them up? Let's be realistic on societies views on the taboo subjects
