Discussion Would you die for anyone? (Family, friends, pets, etc.)

Now, I assume everyone here is very suicidal and they would do anything to ctb. That's why we're here after all. People just didn't treat us like humans and we are now like this. But, if you still have any close family members who you still feel love towards, or even friends, would you die for them? Let's say they were diagnosed with a terminal illness and they would die soon. This is a stupid thing to say but if you could, would you die so they can live. If so, who?

I'll start. I have a group of friends who are very dear to me, although they don't know of this yet. If one of them was diagnosed with an illness that would end with their death, i would die for them in a heartbeat. We aren't friends in real life but rather we are online friends but I tend to get attached to people very easily so that is why I respect them. Considering from the way they speak, how they socialize and just talk about their future, I think they would have a much better life than i ever would so they deserve to live more than me. They can enjoy the things that they assume life has to offer even though they're very wrong but it is completely up to them if whether they want to live or die. There is also a stray cat outside, I love it very much but it lost its trust in me after getting neutered and i would die for it as well if it ever ended up in any situation that would kill it.

Lastly, I know it is stupid to say something like this but i'd like to know if anyone here still loves anyone in their lives, it could be anyone, no judging. Of course, dying for someone would never happen but lets say we're in a reality where it is possible.

Yes. Lots of individuals; regardless of if they would do the same or the feelings are mutual. Am very clingy. Probably wouldn't say anything to them to be honest though.

If anyone who is dying from a terminal illness wanted to stay here instead of course I would die so they can have that. I would personally prefer non-existence over anything else, it's true peace to me, I see nothing desirable about existing, I'm only still trapped here because of the difficulty and inaccessibility of suicide.

Honestly, I would do the same as you. Even if I have no personal connection to the person who I would be dying for i'd still die for them as i'd prefer to be dead over being alive, everyone labels life as a gift so they can enjoy their gift. I would personally have none of it. I'd also let my abusers live too, they are very full of themselves so they can stay alive, if they enjoy it.

I would die for my friend group. my girlfriend, and my dog. Im really dubious on my parents and family, but totally my friends.

Yes but they wouldn't do the same for me. At least I would be leaving making someone happy that wants to live.

No. People are nothing to me anymore. I only live for me. Life has taught me that at the end of the day you only have you. Never live for anyone. We don't owe our lives to anyone but ourselves.

I've had to be anesthesised several times last year for medical procedures. I hate hospital but I love the anesthesist, only problem is I always fucking wake up.

I've always been the type of person if we are friends, close family, etc... I would suffer, take a bullet for you, whatever no questions asked. That said I don't really consider myself to have a family. There's people related but not family. If family asked me for anything I would probably double over laughing. Every single time I have been asked to show up for family I have and then some. The one time I have asked anything of my family they ran for the hills so they are out. Friends have none. Is there the possibility in the future if I meet the right friend? Maybe but the bar is going to be much much higher... I don't consider most people deserving to be honest. Most people are selfish and just care about themselves. A lot of people say they would very few mean it. I did. In fact I would much rather CTB w/o benefitting people at this point then CTB and benefitting people. I guess the exception would be if euthanasia was tied to organ donation. Then begrudgingly I would. Though having the two tied together would terrify me... Why do I want me organs donated to some rich prick who doesn't give a shit about anyone but themselves.

I ruminate about this a lot. If it were possible to somehow give my years to another person I would do it. It's sad that there are wonderful people and kids who get their lives cut short while I am here doing nothing with it.

I'd be willing to die for anyone really. A hero's death would be awesome actually; I could successfully end my life and still be respected by everyone I know for doing it. That sounds like a win-win IMO, but it probably won't ever happen.

Yeah I feel like when my cats die who are now 16 and grew up with me all my life that will probably push me over the edge. I do have my dog left who is 3 and I feel like I could hold out for her but my god I just know the only things that make me feel emotion are those damn cats and they will def push me over the edge. As for anyone else it's hard for me to physically feel emotion towards people.

Fr, i've lost so many pets in the past years, not because i treated them bad, but because of random things that happened and nobody would have probably guessed, my little cat, Simon, died of leukemia, we couldn't do anything to save him.

Depends on whether it's a peaceful death. If it is- I'll die for anyone. Even strangers. Even people I don't like. It's what I want anyway.

If it's a painful death though- I'd only do it for the people I love. The more difficult question is- 'Will you carry on living for the people in your life?'
