in my previous partial attempt I used a shoelace and im pretty sure it would have worked if I hadn't been found and cut down. to prevent this I'm going to go to a remote forest at night but wanted a second opinion on using a shoelace or hoodie string. I weigh about 50kg and obviously since it isn't full suspension a strong ligature isn't really needed for partial but does anyone have any thoughts on this? I would just get a rope to be safe but I'm observed pretty consistently atm so it would be a bit of an inconvenience.

Even a brand new shoe-lace may not be sufficient. In a previous attempt to CTB, I used medical bandage pulled taut.
