@U. A. @IncrediblePal as expected, it can be done with a quickly developed browser addon :pfff:

It is for firefox, but a chrome version is similar.
We could ask our local artist @Chemi to make banners for the usual games and make a release to share :))

Of course you tried it on pineapple on pizza thread first.

But everyone would have to install the addon seperately. Which kinda sucks. A server side implementation would have been a lot better imo but judging by U. A.'s response, suggestions probably aren't taken seriously by the admin.

Hello everyone
Don't worry! yesterday UA Pal and me were discussing that we confuse the games many times because of similar names, and thought about the idea of personalizing the thread banners background image per thread. I got a bit overhyped last night and build a firefox add-on for that.

Agree the server plugin would be the ideal solution.

@IncrediblePal take a stroll through the Suggestions page to see the number of old and very highly upvoted ideas that have either been ignored (by admin if not also mods) or denied for reasons that no one is happy with. the fact that the current top one was actually just replied to by Rain is a ridiculous coincidence, she literally never writes in there from what i have seen.

@OnceTheHappiestMan If it is alright with you, I'd still like to see what you did with your extension. I'm also on Firefox

I see, I looked through the popular suggestions and some of the replies and it does seem like there is a secondary check of if admin likes the suggestion or not.

And on your second point:
There seem to be about 400 suggestions with at least 5 upvotes and the mod team has about 180 replies in suggestion forum. So about 30-45% get at least a reply from the mod team?

tell me you ran something to find that out and didn't comb it manually

it kind of grinds my gears some of the things that get ignored, but mostly on the basis if "why", in the context of the site being an alleged "community" (which ofc it isn't as a small obscure group hold ultimate power). a shitton of people think messages should be able to be edited or removed longer than 6 hours (imo 'indefinitely' is too much but that's besides the point); no action. a shitton of people have raised very good issues on the problems of maintainig an extremely front-and-center 'death partners' section, yet there it remains.
and so on.

No, I used the advanced search for that. But it is still a rough estimate as it doesn't take into account the replies from former mods. Also, I couldn't access one of the mods (Nanami).

same issue tagging Nanami in the mod vs pleb count, that is very peculiar.
some of the currently visible suggestion threads also have older predecessors. i think the longer post control one is one such topic.

Yes of course I can share it! Also I'm going to run it through firefox signing process for self-distributed addons (the code should be quite xenforo generic), I wouldn't like anyone to get an addon from an anonymous person, they can be very dangerous.

Roger.
I've completed web development bootcamp many years ago but I still don't know how browser extensions are made. Or rather I've never really looked into it.
