Hey,
I already wrote small notes, but they feel really ugly to read and I discarded them. Only digitally yet. But there are multiple questions concerning the note(s). For example if I should one big note or like multiple notes for different people/occasions? I've tried writing different notes and started with my girlfriend, but she already knows everything and it just turned out to be a love letter with a bunch of sorrys. I also wrote a letter to myself (idk just found it kinda funny, but I think others won't like these insults) - but I think I just want them to understand what goes on in my mind, but at the same time, there's nothing to tell except for self-hatred. I'm quite honest with most people, so there's little to no things to tell.
If I live a little longer and finished coding my diary with personal security, I will be journaling and all my thoughts will be in my diary which can be read by those who know me well enough so I wouldn't have to write the explaining part of the letter - maybe in short-form. I mean, after I die there won't be a desire to be understood, but I think some might want to know.
This is obviously personal preference, but I want to hear your opinions on that and maybe a few resources if available.

- A single note or a note for each person/occasion?
- Should I apologize in it?
- What exactly do I write - little to nothing or my whole life story?
- How long is such a letter usually?
- Is there any inspiration I can get? Like publicly available notes?
- Should I make it pretty (images, my style, nice to look at, ...) or would that be hurtful?
- How emotional should such a letter be? Or should I keep it on the rational side?
- When should I give them the letter so that no one can save me?
- Aside from the note itself, is it cruel to call someone while/before dying? (when I'm ofc certain they couldn't save me)
