I think they know exactly what they did. They just don't care. I was a foreigner American in Poland. I meant less than nothing to the Poles as an American. A walking dollar sign basically. I am also in the US now an ocean away. They don't see the pain and suffering not that they would care. My life doesn't mean anything to them. If I died tomorrow by suicide and they found out I cannot say their reaction. Of course it would vary as well.... However, I think there would be laughter and maybe a very sarcastic "too bad".hugs to you
Do you think that the people that hurt you will be aware that they hurt you?
That said bad people do bad things. It's their nature. They can change and become good and change their nature. However, that is rare. People rarely change and even rarer is it for people to change if they aren't forced to. No one should be surprised. We are taught right and wrong as kids. Some people just don't care. It's up to good people to stop bad people from doing bad things and up to good people to make things right for what bad people have done. For me I have seen a lot of the bad and none of the good. I am not convinced that particular good exists outside of a cognitive concept.
Edit: Hugs to you too.
