Why are people promoting sodium nitrite as quick and painless?

This is the furthest thing from the truth. You basically have to take the PERFECT amount for your height, weight, medical condition, sex, etc. for it to be kind of painless and take less than 30 minutes to kill you (meaning, not fast). Its not like N where the more you take, the faster you die. SN will burn a hole in your stomach if you take too much and may even dissolve your esophagus on the way down. But if you take too little, you're just going to writhed in pain and god knows what else. It will definitely kill you, but if you choose this method, expect suffering and pain for up to 30 minutes before you die.

I've been suffering for decades; another 30 minutes or so at this point does little to deter me.

The only reason I can think of why people try so hard to promote this method as both quick and painless it that it is likely to be their method and they want reassurance that their method of choice is sound. It is understandable but not entirely fair on those for those who read their accounts. After all, this is the internet , the posters are complete strangers, they could be a dr or an edgy teenager. So pls do your own research.

The article referred to the substance used as Sodium Nitrate twice, and Sodium Nitrite once. Given this, I don't think this article could be used as a credible source of information for those who wants to use SN. I have helium and SN on hand at the moment, I am still contemplating which one to use when the time comes.

People are promoting it because it's really cheap and easy to get. Of course it's not as peaceful as N but not everyone can get N. And many people are willing to go through a bit of pain to achieve their goal. Plus there are no serious consequences from a failed attempt which cannot be said of most methods.

I am too, thats actually a great thought bc tbh theres nothing Ive experienced more painful than the cramping from my own cycles. I imagine its not too far off from the feeling of SN poisoning before unconsciousness?

I knew girls who threw up from period pain but that was never my case. Still a lot of pain - though period pain is dull while I imagine SN pain is sharp (although dopamine blockers should block it all out)

Girl if I forget to take advil or take the advil after the pain has set in it will make me have both and leave me writhing on the floor for what seems like hours. I guess every body is different, my pains were always very sharp and would come and go in intense waves the way I assume contractions would. You're right about the dopamine blocker

^^ I chuckled when I read this because GENIUS lol! I'm also one of those women who have experienced horrible pain from menstrual cramps. Passing out, vomiting all of that and a lot of the times nothing short of a muscle relaxer knocking me clean out for a few hours would help.
With that said, looking at it from that POV vs SN pain definitely isn't all that scary.

You're going to come across people here who feel like they deserve to be punished (me included) for a variety of reasons (I.E. bad things they've done, mental health issues). It might help to look into (or even ask them yourself) WHY people feel the need to "punish" themselves as opposed to just calling people & or referring to what they say as "(fucking) stupid".

You can always create threads about what's on your mind & get some helpful feedback. Either way, we're here if you want to talk.

Our desire for suicide is different then, in the sense that some people want to inflict gruesome punishments on themselves whereas I am trying to escape undeserved punishments from an unfair world

I agree with this. SN is very unpredictable. It is FAR from reliable and painless. There are many cases where it takes up to days to die whilst being in severe pain. Just google it and you will find many such reports. I agree it is easily accessible and dirt trip but it doesn't make it a good method. It's being talked about a lot as PPeH has recently incorporated it in the chapter on inorganic salts. If you don't have access to N, you may consider the inert gases, CO or even chloroquine which I think are all better alternatives.

To all you guys thinking the exit bag with helium is any good IT AINT. I found my mother after the helium method and she succeeded. Found her dead with a bag over her head and gas cilinder of helium beside her. After the cremation I lost my girlfriend and my job. I couldn't take it anymore and missed my mother so I tried the helium methode as well. I did it for nearly 10/15 minutes and nothing happened. But after it I felt strange inside my head and could plan and organize anymore. I hear strange sounds in my head. I know now for sure that I have gotten so sord of braindamage during this attempt. I can't get a hard on and if then the orgasm feeling is gone, just numb. After that I was in big crisis and I tried the nitrogen method. I took two breaths and I was out. Next thing what happened is me laying on the floor very passed out and pissed myself. I my unconcosnius I felt outside my bed and ripped the bag from my head. I wouldn't recommend the Exit Bag at all. It can give you braindamage and you will end it up like me. Very suicidal and unhappy in life. Now I have SN ready to take. I am planning it to take it tomorrow.

Interesting and I am sorry for what happened to you. From what I hear, SN can be unpleasant, too. I am fortunate to have someone that will sit with me while I go through this, so my Nitrogen attempt would likely be successful. I think I would rather ingest Nembutal but....there is no good way, is there?

I don't know if SN is uncomfortable. I have red many things about it and I think it's not a pleasant way to die but it's better then hanging, jumping or drowning.
The exit bag method is fine if it's works properly. My mom did the exit bag and it worked. After that I did it too. I didn't work and it messed my brain and life up very badly. Tomorrow I have my third appointment with the people who can give euthanasia because my life is unbearable. I am 35 years old and half a vegetable. Can't do anything anymore. No fun in life or whatever. No euthanasia means the SN way. I am really thinking of taking my SN tomorrow after the doctors leave.
