Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I was struggling for a unique user name and this is a plant that grows locally and can be fatal if consumed. When I joined SS, actually the previous one, I don't even know how long ago, that was my preferred method. I've since found out that it's intensely painful to dies this way and takes a long time besides.
Famous bands often have interesting stories behind what made them come up with their band names. In the same vein, I've seen many interesting/creative usernames on SS and was wondering what the thought process behind them were or events/movies/songs that inspired you to choose your username. Obviously suicide would be one such reason...
I'll start: I was going through a hellish time and feeling incredibly ill with very high pain levels and would've done anything to escape the pain. My prescription painkillers weren't working. So I was Googling different ctb methods and inevitably stumbled upon SS. I was desperate to join and couldn't think clearly due to the pain, so I just chose a username that was the first word to pop into my head, which bizarrely happened to be the word "Pookie." There was simply no thinking process behind it.
Now your turn. (Obviously don't give away too many identifying/personal details as we all know this is a public forum.)
My name is basically a word play of the average fan vs. average enjoyer meme which is basically my favorite one at the moment. I also like the fan more than the enjoyer so there it is.
From a manga series I was really into way back in the day sinbad no bouken. it's one of the nostalgia things I can think back on that give me a brief respite of happiness
This is one of the first songs i was shown after i esacped my abusive ex of 7 years. I loved the artwork in the music video and it was making me feel like i had hope for a little while. Helped me figure out my relationships with my current gf. And thats kinda how ive even been making it now
I lack creativity so my name is a brief description of myself. I wear glasses (4 eye) and I have two legs (Biped). I came up with the name and then created a quick avatar to crudely match. I still need to add a couple of frames to make the walking smoother, or complete, but I am a lazy and lowly motivated bastard.
I play guitar, or at least, I used to before depression hit. The username "TheGuitarist" was taken, so I decided to go with "LeGuitarist". I feel like anything remotely French sounds fancy lol
Inspired by 4chan, I like the idea of using a clover as my username. But since I don't really like that site nor do I like green, so I added 'blue' to it because blue is related to poison in my head. I also have a habit if adding '_' on my usernames, and I'd like to make a firm stance with a period.
There's also a site named Blue Clover Therapy with good ratings, which I discovered after I made the username. Nice.

There was a user on YouTube who posted some techno songs I liked called Prawnsalad100 and I thought it was a cute and random name especially because it was like a "nobody's" name you know it sounds like a name of an insignificant creator no offense to him. Especially since he didn't have a profile picture, which is why for a long time on the forum here I didn't have one too. I didn't want to steal the name so I called myself lobster salad or mr lobster and hopefully somebody would have the same feelings I had of finding something "no name insignificant and unknown" but of course nobody did... i think this whole thing is more emotional than can be put to word. Anyways that's the story. I feel I have developed away from something and someone I was not, while shit Posting in this forum. Nobody looks at me like I'm a hidden gem.

It's just something stupid I made up, something that suggests goofiness, not to be taken seriously, so I get to fly under the radar. Whatever that means…
As I was burdened by the dull or painful reality I lived in, I started living inside another world, a better one. And so, I have little to no attachment to this world, and I await for that moment which I can go to sleep, and wake up in a new reality and go on another exciting journey this world has yet to offer, if ever it will…
This about sums it up.
dark over flow it's a computer programming term In computing, an overflow error is an error that happens when a program receives a number, value or variable outside the scope of its ability to handle.
I replied to this thread when it was first posted, but since then I have changed my username. I have my username as all I want is to leave forever, I want to be free from this existence. I want to end my suffering and be at peace.

Empty mugs of coffee would accumulate in my room when I was crippled by days of agony. Day in, day out I would let my room get messier and messier while I just escaped through video games and slept. I am more organized now... the pain is the same, but If I kept running from the pain, I wouldn't even be able to plan my death. There are still days in which I collapse and similar things happen.
