Reincarnation. A fresh start.
Thats interesting hearing you believe in an after life... Me too, this is another reason I find it hard to go through with, as we are looking for peace and relief when CTB, however we may experience even more stress afterwards if we carry on... What are your thoughts?

From what I've read, suicides roam as ghosts for the time they were meant to live on this world. Or I've also read those who commit suicide are turned upside down in the afterlife. Just F-in great, who knows what kind of hell is there after. Can't catch a break.
My thoughts are similar... I think there is a good chance that the state of mind created by suicide after death could be a lot of anguish... But I cant know for sure, just don't want to risk it for that reason

If you're trying to scare me in some convoluted attempt to "save me" (I am used to people using these tactics on me, so if you were not, please understand why I am saying this), it is not going to work. The fact is, I don't know if reincarnation is real or if a new life will be better or worse. What I do know is that I don't want to play out this current life, and that is enough for me to take my chances. At least if the new life is worse, I won't be aware that I made this choose in my previous life, so I won't feel regret.

No I'm not trying to scare you I am just discussing my own thoughts on the subject, and wondering what your views are especially is you believe reincarnation is real

Okay, fair enough/ Welp, that's what I think. I'll take my chances based on what my current situation is.

Hope you make the best decision you can for yourself, whichever that is :)

Fair enough... There are people who say the opposite too, that we return to love and that all is fine... But its a risk at least thats how I see it for myself. But But it sounds like youve made your decision and are settled with that. And I wish you the best with whatever happens

Just to be clear, they are not mine, I'm not Morgue. But I did stumble across them last year. Alternative food for thought.

"Ontological mathematics is the rational core of Hyperianism. It's the science of the future that proves the shocking truth that the world is not material but a collective dream, that so-called "matter" is an illusion, and the ultimate reality is a domain of pure mind. This is not a belief but a deductive, mathematical certainty."

That you give a S about anyone
And what proof do you have that I don't? Oh, wait, you have none. All because people in your past may never have cared about you, doesn't mean you can project your cynical feelings onto other people. Or are you one of those pro life "moles" that like to spy on these boards thinking that anyone who doesn't oppose one's right to suicide is heartless? Whatever the reason, I don't really care. Don't be an ass and try to bring other people down on this site. Everyone here has enough to deal with. This site doesn't need people like you making other people feel worse.

Then why did you have to write a novel of explanation if it's not true?

A lot depends on how you go. If you have massive brain trauma (like a shotgun at close range) - it will be lights out.

If it is slower - for eg your heart stops beating - there have been studies which report brain activity persists for a while.

Apparently - the brain slowly shuts down, synapses fire randomly. And people with NDE report random memories, acquaintences etc. And then nothingness.

But - reportedly - everyone with an NDE report it as being calm, peaceful and serene.

Of course - on resuscitation - via cpr or aed - the blood starts flowing to the brain and the neurons start firing and the brain pretty much reboots itself like a computer.

The method I have chosen is N. I believe - it will be similat to anasthesia. You start feeling drowsy and then lights out.

I feel like we do end up in nothing for a while but somehow in the universe we'll end up as something else later down the line. It won't always be a person, but I always imagine there's a cycle of living, dying, then waiting until the universe decides what you should be next.

You mean like how you're telling people cyanide is painless?
Cyanide can be painless. It's really individual on how you react to it.

Did you know some people have a gene which makes them able to detect cyanide by smell? HCN specifically.

@Al_stargate what do you mean by "turned upside down in the afterlife"? Also, is there any other circumstance where a person who died would roam as a ghost for the time they were meant to live in the world?

This guy seems like he wants to mislead people so they have a painful suicide attempt. Ironic from someone who was on me for not apparently giving a "shit" about other people.

Also, how the hell would anyone know if Cyanide is painless? Those are suffered it are likely dead.

I believe in the survival of our egos, none of that "drop flowing back into the ocean" nonsense, we all deserve answers to Our unique personal questions that relate to our selves, memories, personalities etc. I get that deserving answers doesn't mean we'll necessarily get them though.

Energy isn't created or destroyed, it's just changed.
When a person dies, the energy of that person is no longer bound to their body.
Reincarnation is more probable than anything else.

It is impossible for there to be nothing, other wise we'd still be in that state now.

The 'pre birth feeling of nothingness' is your consciousness tuning into a different frequency.

Meaning that pre birth state would never be permanent. Time etc is a human construct 24 hours in a day etc. It is meaningless.

Even the primitive mainstream science we have now accepts that we only see 0.05 percent of things as 'visible light' rest of what is out there is impossible to see with our limited frequencies.

I am not thrilled on the idea of Reincarnation but it is most probable.

Where as The Nothingness theory has no merit other than people with depression just my opinion.

I grew up in India (Tamil Nadu). In neighbouring Sri Lanka there was a civil war and an organization called the LTTE fought the Sri Lankan army.

Germane to this discussion - every member of the LTTE wore a glass capsule filled with cyanide around their neck.

They were supposed to (and frequently did) commit suicide rather than be captured or surrender. It was a nasty war with atrocities from all sides, so suicide to avoid capture was fairly common.

The method to do so was to place the capsule in the mouth and bite down on the glass so that it would splinter in their mouth, cut it up and then the cyanide would enter their bloodstream causing a quick death.

My father served in the indian army and he was witness to several such suicides. By all accounts - the deaths were extremely painful. People would literally dislocate their own joints while writhing in pain.

If they did not do a good job of lacerating their mouth - the cyanide would enter via their digestive system rather than their bloodstream. In which case - they would be writhing about for as long as an hour.

So - cyanide is very effective. It will kill you. But it is a truly horrifying way to go.

If someone is planning to ctb via cyanide - please think very carefully and research it. Because once you ingest it - the pain is horrifying
