Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

The afterlife has always intrigued me deeply, and at times, even made me nervous. The idea that something awaits us beyond death can be a source of relief, yet also a constant source of uncertainty. What is eternal rest like? And if it isn't the end, what comes next? Have you ever wondered what happens when life ends? Is death the end, or is it merely the beginning of something greater? In this forum, we all seek relief, a form of rest. But what exactly is that rest? Is it simply silence? Or is there something more beyond it?
For many, death is the end of everything. Yet for others, it marks the beginning of a new existence. There are theories suggesting that, after death, we are ushered into an "eternal rest", a peaceful place free from pain, suffering, or grief. Do you believe in this?
Some believe the soul endures, that life does not cease with the body. There are those who say the soul ascends to a celestial realm, a paradise, or becomes one with nature and universal energy. What about you? What is your perspective?
Others believe life continues on another plane, perhaps as a dream, an illusion, or a parallel existence. Some speak of "life after life," of unseen worlds where the dead dwell in peace. Have you ever envisioned this?
And what constitutes "eternal rest"? To some, it signifies the absolute end, a state of non-existence. To others, it represents a return to peace, love, and the embrace of loved ones who have already passed on. Do you believe something awaits us beyond death?
Some describe eternal rest as a state of absolute freedom, devoid of choices, pressures, or pain. It marks the end of struggle and suffering. Do you think this offers relief to those weary of life?
But what if life isn't merely a cycle? What if something awaits us after death, something that assures us we are not alone? Have you pondered this? What do you believe comes after death?
For many, death holds the answer to everything. It is the end of pain, suffering, and struggle. It is rest. But for others, it is just the beginning of something new, something that might be more peaceful, lighter. What do you think?
And what about you? What do you believe comes after death? What would eternal rest look like for you? Leave your opinion below. What do you think the afterlife is? Is it the end, or is there something waiting for us?

Hopeful of an Afterlife, accepting of non-existenc

A lot of my opinions come straight from an early age NDE I have personally had, but I think our consciousness moves on somehow. I could very well be wrong, and it could be a trick of the brain, but it changed my life when it happened and it felt extremely real. It made me extremely hopeful that there is something after this, but at the same time, in case I am wrong, I'm okay and at peace with non-existence as well.

My experience was completely positive by the way. No light, however, I was able to see and recall a lot of what doctors were doing to save me. I felt very peaceful. For reference, I had a stomach blockage at a young age and flatlined for several minutes.

i think a lot about that a lot too, i think about something like, the body dies but the soul or consciousness move on, without any memory of the past life. i cant deny that the non-existence concerns me a lot, but what if in the non existence you still have a small part of your consciousness? and you just be staring at a void forever

I don't believe there is anything after this life. We just end and that's all. I don't want a nice, peaceful afterlife. I want to cease to exist entirely. There's no value to my existence in this or any other form.
