  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Some people including myself probably seem uncurable as we know what we need to do to get better, yet we aren't.
I think it's an underlying trauma that sends messages to our subconscious which our brain has tried to bury from our conscious minds.

Excuse me I'm a bit high but what i think it's the lack of personalised medicine is one major issue. Our brain as you know is very complex and you have to tailor make a solution for each person. And what's medicine is for?? Keeping us alive. So i think eventually we would be able to figure this out if I'm being optimistic

i think for me personally, i just dont want to get better anymore. ive been on a plethora of different medications, gone to therapy, and in and out of psych wards for a decade now and i realized something. taking care of ur mental health is just matinence work the same as changing the oil on ur car or rotating the tires. its not fun its just work and some people are okay with doing the work and some people would rather kill themselves. id rather kill myself

"it is no sign of health to be well-adjusted to a sick society" and so on. Treatments like "take a SSRI" or "talk to this random person that doesnt even know you for an hour" are a joke when it is so complex to understand what truly caused someone's depression or anxiety.
This part stood out to me. And I think I agree. Sometimes I feel like me being mentally unwell in this society doesn't make me the one who "isn't sane" but rather I feel like I'm actually the one acting accordingly and appropriately to having to live in a world like this, if that makes sense. I've always felt a disconnect from others who can manage to ignore a lot of things and just stay happy on the regular while living in this world.

Is depression a psychiatric illness? Or, is it just a circumstance of life's trials and tribulations for some of us, myself included. Honestly, I don't feel like I have a psychiatric condition that needs to be "cured", and at this stage (of my life) I don't believe it's in my best interest to even try to cure "it".

I had to fill out a "depression assessment" for my doctor recently before my last routine appointment. I answered all the questions truthfully except one - the one that asked if I had thoughts of harming myself. She offered me medication, but I told her I didn't want any and would handle it on my own. That was the end of it.
