It was moving, but I only remember the devastating part & her rapist grandsonpoetry (2010) is a korean film that moved me a lot.
it shows the paradox of life, being beautiful and devastating all at once.
Yes, I also used to like these films very much when I was younger.Suicide Room and Chatroom - Both are more a modern way of looking at suicide and depression through online spaces and the characters only connecting virtually.
i really felt for the old woman, she had such a sweet nature & deserved a lot better. i think everybody else in the film is pretty horrible lmao. but i like the balance between how shit things are and yet how she still is looking around herself at the beauty she finds as she tries creating her poem. pretty tragic though, but the actress plays her role beautifully - and sadly enough, she apparently has alzheimer's in real life alsoIt was moving, but I only remember the devastating part & her rapist grandson
Possession - a 1981 film directed by A. Zulawski, starring Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill.
Also loved this movie, very touching.poetry (2010) is a korean film that moved me a lot. the main character is an elderly woman which i feel we don't see often in film, especially when concerning topics like this. she learns of a terrible secret, is diagnosed with alzheimer's, and joins a poetry class. it's beautiful and just so lifelike in a way many films fail to be - it shows the paradox of life, being beautiful and devastating all at once. it has really stuck with me even now, years after watching it
It's about the nightmarish nature of life for meGreat movie, thank you for the suggestion! But I think the movie is more about divorce rather than suicide, even though there was a suicide scene in it.
Paddleton, it's about a terminally ill cancer patient who legally euthanizes himself.Any movie with the theme of suicide, depressio, despair, mental illness counts. Go tell me your favs
HeathersAny movie with the theme of suicide, depressio, despair, mental illness counts. Go tell me your favs
I.Bergman's Winter Light
The Last Family, it's mainly about Zdzisław Beksiński (the painter) his wife and their suicidal son. It's the only movie that still makes me cry, maybe because of how relatable it is.
