Autism, I hear people tell me they are autistic, but they never give me even the smallest clue what that condition(s) is actually like.I would love to learn more about the struggles and pain people face every day of their lives, hoping to understand them better ♡

I just wanted to type that.Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Unfortunately both in recent years have become a common insult and the butt of jokes. But with previous disorders/disabilities/terms like retardation and spaz now becoming taboo if used as an insult, I guess something needs to fill the hole.

I second this. the intrusive thoughts/images make me feel like the worst person alive because these thoughts are not mine and i dont want them...OCD, people tend to dismiss it as a "cleanliness disorder" when it's actually a debilitating anxiety disorder caused by misfirings in the brain
