I have T too (I was on TinnitusTalk back in the day). Took me around 2 years to fully habituate, nowadays I don't care about it at all (7 years in). Induced by the classical loud noise exposure (at work) while being stressed at the same time (overtrainning + hypogonadism), (and yes it's loud with a bazillion different sounds).

I have several family/friends with T and they have never cared about it at all (most of them didn't even know that that sound has a medical name 😆).

It's truly horrific how there is no limit as to how much one can be tortured as long as they exist here, the decaying flesh prison that is the human body certainly repulses me with how it can cause so much suffering to be experienced, I think the fact that tinnitus even exists just proves that this world is hell, especially as how it can instantly get worse. This world is such a harmful place to exist in and that is undeniable, there is no escape from suffering as long as one exists here.

I want to ctb bc of tinnitus. It's the worst thing a person can be inflicted with. Even chronic pain, which I have, can be made better with medication. Nothing for tinnitus. What's really sad/ironic is that I had finally figured out my life and wanted to live…. I'm sorry you're experiencing this.

How bad is yours? Been struggling for almost 20 years and I can't take it anymore. Time only made it worse over the years.

I'm in the same boat man. I literally have SN in transit right now because of it. I am a shadow of my former self. Life really is loud as hell. Roadways, leaf blowers, babies, air conditioners, etc. I want to exercise but I can't even go to the gym because of the noise. I'm hiding from the world and I hate it. I finally started to get legitimately better and tried going to the gym the other day and now it's bad again.

It's horrendous. Debilitating. Worst thing I've ever experienced.
