It's disgusting actually and unacceptable how this forum has laughing emojis on it with people wanting to add more emojis to troll, it's just a way to mock other people's suffering and make them feel worse. Having such on here is an insult, cant believe that someone thought that was a good idea on a forum which is literally about suicide for people to vent about their suffering. Humans really are so shallow and toxic, those who treat people's suffering as a joke disgust me. The pain and torment in this world really is real, I cannot stand those who dismiss this.

This site should be for those who seriously want suicide or just want a place to vent about their suffering, not for bored young children who have nothing else to do. But anyway the toxicity and insensitivity of humans and how they like to poison what should be a serious website for those who suffer certainly makes me wish for non-existence even more. Humanity is an abomination.

It's the little humour that gives us a bit of a break from all the darkness and grimace. It's not wrong to have something to laugh about even as a suicidal and that emoji becomes appropriate in those circumstances.

We can still laugh and find comfort through dark humor. This site isn't exclusive for venting, I'd say. There are lots of different people in lots of different situations here. Some might be actively suicidal, some might be passively, some might be looking to recover, and some may not. It is a pro-choice forum, after all. It's not all black and white.

I'm serious about killing myself and I have to wade through garbage and trolling to try and find anyone who might be actually serious also. Humor is one of the good things in life. A lot of people use humor as a coping mechanism and to help make their day a little easier.

People don't have to be serious all the time. They don't have to talk about their problems or suicide all the time. It's ok to talk about other things too. If people only talked about their problems all day and never focused on anything else, they would be more depressed than they are now.

I doubt that most people on here are laughing at other people or trolling them. Most of the people I talked to on here are fairly nice. If you run into the occasional troll or jerk on here that laughs at you, just ignore them.

Not enough people use the off topic category. Unrelated, tangential, off color and inappropriate stuff gets posted in the suicide discussion regularly. I think most of the self-harm/cutting things don't belong in the suicide discussion either, imo should be a separate category for that because it's not the same thing as suicide... But what are you going to do, people are going to do whatever they want in the end.

If I didn't try and find humor in something when the opportunity presents itself, I'd fucking cry all the time. And I'm really tired of crying. I've done enough crying for a lifetime. And I'd probably be crazy by now because of my circumstances if I didn't laugh once in a while. I'm not saying that my situation is worse than anyone elses, it's not, but it's the one I have to live. Seeing humor still and having an occasional laugh doesn't change one thing about how I still want to ctb. Hopefully, I'll be able to laugh all the way up to that fateful day whenever I get the chance.

I'm sorry you feel this way FC. I too abhor how much suffering there is in this world. There's a lot to hate about humanity and we should be able to vent here without people dismissing our suffering.

But please also be nice to others and recognize that some people enjoy joking around/dark humour. It's a way to cope with how grim life can be, especially if you ended up here. You shouldnt be so judgemental of other people, because we all matter...

I also wish everyone on this thread who's "trolling" you would please not say anything if it isnt nice. FC is suffering a lot and her feelings are valid. Just like yours are. She doesnt deserve to be laughed at or made fun of. Just loved. Like everyone else.

She says that she isn't due to the risks involved. If there were an accessible and safe way to ctb (guaranteed death, peaceful, little to no pain, etc) she says that she would take it, but that isn't the case where she lives. I honestly understand where she is getting at, since ctbing is hard and has the potential to cause more suffering if not successful. I've attempted to ctb several times before and I'm lucky that I haven't had any lasting bodily damage from it. That's not even getting into how traumatic surviving a ctb attempt can be for some people. So I think her not wanting to risk it is pretty justified.

She clearly has some form of compulsive disorder. I recognize it because I have one too. Hers manifests in the tendency to want to repeat similar statements/ideas. This is not unexpected because many people here have mental disorder of some kind including myself.

I have no problem with who FC is but she needs to respect the risk and work of the creators of this site. No matter how bad you think it is, it's the best we have.
