Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Say positive thoughts cure depression one more time, MOTHERFUCKER!!!!! You gotta imagine Samuel L Jackson screaming it while poiting a gun at you, Pulp Fiction style.
Man what a dope movie. Travolta and Thurman dancing to Goes to show you never can tell.

Went out for a smoke and a skunk came right up next to me. I almost pet the lil guy but he got scared. Went to take a pic but only caught his stripe in the dark. Mid center photo.

Been a heat wave here all week, I have no AC, and the computer doesn't like it. This is the one day we get a break, heat is forecast to come back tomorrow. I had to take the opportunity to check in here!

I went a year without AC once and of course it was one of the hottest summers on record lol. There are social programs that give away free ACs in alot of states now. Maybe you could check into it.
I've gone most of my life without AC, these apartments weren't originally wired for it. It's not the initial outlay for the unit itself that stops me; it's that the housing development wants $30 more per month year round for the extra electricity. There's usually only a few days a year I really feel the lack of it, but of course 2020, amiright?

I went for a walk, briefly. One of the amusement parks was playing music even though it's still closed. I heard Taylor Swift's "Me!" and Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy". Then I heard something I didn't recognize and couldn't make out very well. The chorus sounded like the singer proclaiming "I'm a fried green potato" over and over. It could also have been "fine breed potato" or "fire breathing potato", as I said I couldn't make it out very well. Is there something wrong with song lyrics nowadays or is there something wrong with my head?
@faraway_beach the way it's sung or composed can make analyzing lyrics difficult. But also some songs have weird metaphors. Some of my favorite songs have lots of distortion.

Thank you, I wasn't really expecting a reply! I do remember the days of "I am the walrus", and my parents told me about "Mairzie Doats". Sometimes songs are weird just to catch your attention. But sometimes one's mind does strange things as well, such as the "I led the pigeons to the flag" phenomenon. I think I saw a whole commercial once that used people mishearing "Rocket Man" lyrics in order to sell a hifi system.

Sometimes they're strange because they use metaphors and hidden messages as well. I enjoy trying to interpret some of the older songs that had depth like that.

Sad to see all the chat threads are so dead now. We need more eccentric personality types.
SS is in a new generation now and many of the old personalities are gone now. I'm not seeing many of the newer members stepping up to fill that void just yet.
My stuff was delivered from uni yesterday, got around to unpacking today. My guitar is irreparably damaged. Cracked stem, and the entire back side has separated out. Since it's left-handed, getting a replacement is going to be a pain in the ass. I need to file a claim for damages as well, that's going to be another headache. Also, stuff is missing. That's another issue I'd rather not be dealing with. All in all, the next few days are going to be painful.
I need some as well. I'm pretty sure there's some rum in the house that Dad drinks every now and then, but I don't want to do the drinking discussion with my parents now. Or ever, really.

I'm more a dog person myself but cats are alright. My roommate has 2 outdoor cats on the property here. I think having them outdoors has made it more tolerable for me.

Quarky was like a brother to me and I miss him dearly. Epsilon said it was just time for her to move on, no drama. She never had a bad word to say. Loss. Changes. Nothing is forgotten.

Last I heard of Quarky he left the shared living space he was in. I hope there was a good outcome there, but I remember having a bad feeling when he told me about it.
