Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Reading 80000hours.org and The Intercept gave me a life-reaffirming experience. Life is beautiful; I just suck at it. If I were a little bit more smart I could be interacting with these skilled communities and do damage on the world. Alas, I drew a non-winning lottery from the gene pool—I'd still have to CTB out of my shitty existence. I'm reminded about what makes me excited in life and how I can appreciate much life though: good shit.
I'm new here. Hopefully this post is ok. I need to get this off my chest. I HATE LAWYERS. I've worked for these assholes for over 30 years. I've been spit on, chased, cursed at, demeaned and made to feel less than human. They have controlled my life for the past 30 years. This is a huge reason I'm leaving.

Just wanted to create a separate forum for some people that just want to get shit off there chest. Not looking for political agendas or ways to do things. Just a nice place where people can talk openly and freely about WTF is going on. To be be honest i created this thread for someone i've been talking to for the past couple hours. Hope it helps.
Well back to our regularly scheduled program. Please don't touch the displays
I know this is corny but always really liked birds in a way I envy their existence of having a short lifespan and being able to get away from it all hawks are my favorite bird to see in the wild
Actually the best I've been in 3 weeks or so. Retaking my 50mg+ daily iodine again to see if it can make me excited about life again. It's a thing I've been experimenting with for years now, and I always feel better on ~50mg iodine for some reason, even though my labs say my levels are fine without it. I likewise get way warmer on it than without. Hopefully I'll keep improving over the next few days and finally be able to start up my hobbies again and hopefully enjoy life again to some extent, as anhedonia sucks the most. At least when you're sad you can cry and weep and CTB if it gets far enough, but anhedonia is just awful and leaves you "dead" without being dead imo.
Heading to bed now, though. Tired and I got a morning lifting session waiting for me again.
How about you? ^^

Amazing and wonderful to read. Good for you. I'm happy for you. Long may this continue!
Anhedonia, I've seen this mentioned on the forum, poor you. Tough to live with plus life itself, go easy on yourself.
Ah lifting session, how amazing! Enjoy :)
Meh I'm ok, can't complain :).
Good night to you.

Some time ago I found a thread where the OP illustrated psychology and meditation techniques to overcome the SI, I was convinced I had put it among the saved threads but instead I can't find it, does anyone by chance remember the title so I can look for it or have the link?

RIP Placo. I never got a chance to speak with you, but you seemed swell.
At any rate, if anyone else is curious about what he was looking for, it was a post that got taken down, so don't drive yourself crazy looking for it like I did lol.
On a separate note, activity seems to be slowing down in the Recovery and Off Topic sections compared to when I was a lurker and nervous about making an account, haha. I hope it's because people are getting out and enjoying some fresh air while the weather seems less oppressive in most places around the globe. Anyway, I hope it doesn't come off as too annoying when I pop up in multiple threads in a row.
And I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can!
