Thanks.
If such devices are necessary in order to achieve the goal of compressing carotid arteries whilst avoiding the airway (and jugular veins), what hope is there for those of us who try it with a couple of rolled up socks ?

Such devices aren't necessary - they're just new ideas to maybe make it easier. I love the inflatable bladders.

I would say, however, that rolled up socks are not a good substitute for the corn hole bags as they compress easily when pressure is applied. Something like thin cotton rolled up would work better. Anything that doesn't compress easily when squeezed.

Are there any known failures of people using this method so far? And what side effects might there be if one got interrupted or "saved" during?

Several years ago I asked a friend to apply a choke hold (which I guess is the same as "blood choked"?) so I could see how it felt. She did it when we were both standing and in 2 to 3 seconds I passed out. She quickly let go and I slid down to the floor, scaring her silly. I came to almost immediately after hitting the floor and had a headache for about an hour; but passing out was such a fantastic feeling as I've never fainted or passed out in my life. I haven't been able to get her to do it again, though, as it scared her too much. It would be such a fast and easy way to go if only you had a friend who was willing; however, I wouldn't want anyone to go to jail for my sake!

I used to practice martial arts so I know the effectiveness of this method if taken time and done right I can't believe it took me this time to correlate this technique with CTB it's quite ingenious and is my chosen exit. I'm so close to my timeline for CTB I'm kind of excited about it now lol no more hesitation

Really leaving soon, Faraway? I haven't been able to find the "sweet spot" with my fingers and it just hurts. What are you planning to use?

Sorry I meant to ask what mechanism or contraption will you use
Lol I wasn't sure how to respond to that anyway Nothing complicated instead of using the tape or the ratchet use both, I'm using the tape to tape the bean bags in place and then use the ratchet to tighten them in place the ratchet I found arena little small on my kneck so I'm using 2 when I ctb just for added security.

That's smart if you could post photo and instructions that would be great I'm not technically inclined.

Also I posted another thread asking if we just put a rope around the upper part of neck to constrict carotid arteries and did partial suspension would we be able to breathe to the end?

Possibly if done right but I feel confident in using the ratchet and bean bags imo as long as I take my time with placement of bean bags and then tighten with ratchet nothing can go wrong as long as no one is going to interrupt for about 10 minutes

What would be the best position if you're using a rope? If I want to position over the artery the rope would be in a uncomfortable position over the bottom of my face.

I see alot of people asking what's the success rate? And other such questions, this method couldn't be easier if you take your time and follow the instructions kooz posted it's 100% guaranteed success as once you've blocked blood flow to your brain successfuly it's lights out.

Thank You

I'm pressing on my caratid arteries and not feeling too lightheaded at all,it worries me. I have the right spot I hope it works for me

Using improper equipment could lead to mistakes possibly being a vegetable be careful.

If you're sure you have the right spot for the arterys and are using bean bags or equivalent as long as persistent pressure is applied the blood flow is blocked and the brain cannot function and will eventually die. Make sure whatever you do it's right for you okay and I hope you find peace <3

Thank you for the topic, i just have 2 remaining questions to make sure everything is okay.
  • About the pressure: Is it "the more pressure there is the quicker you will pass out/die" ?
  • What is best position to be? I plan to be lying on the floor, face to the ground -or more accurately, face to another cushion- with the neck in the same position as if you would look up in the sky.

It doesn't take as much pressure as you might think but as long as you have the bean bags or equivalent in the correct placement, I suggest reading through the original post too then once you've cut off blood flow your speaking seconds before loss of consciousness. Lying down is going to take the longest but even then it's an extra 5-10 seconds if applied correctly. I hope you find peace in whatever you choose friend <3

I know a lot of people are having difficulty finding the sweet spot, I'll try and explain with what I've learned.

First of all if you are using your fingers, and you try to press against the artery from the side, the artery tends to feel like it's rolling forward behind the windpipe into that space, and it'll just hurt the more you press. From behind the windpipe you need to press in the direction that points through the very center of your neck. This will keep the artery flat against the underlying tissue and allow you to apply firm pressure without being painful and prevent it from rolling out of the way. Standing for me is easiest, but I worry about falling if I make myself black out, so sitting may be the best for finger practice. Trying to use fingers while laying down doesn't seem to work at all for me, I'm guessing because the neck is out of alignment in some odd way.

The small filled bags (Cornhole bags) combined with the ratchet or duck tape pull almost perfectly towards the center of your neck because of their circular inward force, so you shouldn't encounter this problem. If you feel excessive pressure then it's too far back, if you feel choked it's too far forward.

My "sweet spot" is two to three fingerwidths down from the bottom of my jaw, near the top of the neck. Whatever bags you use should be either as far up as they can go up or very close to it. Same with the strap / duct tape. I think a lot of people are placing them both too far down on the neck, try higher up if you aren't getting any good results.

Like many previous posters stated, try different areas for 10-15 seconds and feel the results. You'll know very quickly if you're doing it correctly or not. Don't be discouraged, finding the correct area shouldn't take too long if you're patient. Remember you need very little actual pressure once you have the right spot, but the location and direction of force are key! You should feel light headed very quickly and black out before you feel any excessive pain or pressure.

Make your own bags by filling two small socks with unpopped popcorn and sew it shut.

I don't leave the house a lot except for school, and i don't wanna arouse suspicions, is there anything i can use that doesn't need to be made or bought? and does the electrical tape work ?

I just learned of this method today so I'm no expert but I work with electrical tape and I can't imagine it would be the most reliable for this method. If this is what you end up using, you're going to have to stretch the tape tight as you wrap. Its adhesive isn't the best but it holds best when stretched tight. Also it is somewhat easy to stretch and tear, depends on the quality of it.
