I suppose it would do I'm just a bit OTT my mentality is do it right or not at all lol it's why I'm using tape and ratchet together.
Will duct tape or a belt work then?I just learned of this method today so I'm no expert but I work with electrical tape and I can't imagine it would be the most reliable for this method. If this is what you end up using, you're going to have to stretch the tape tight as you wrap. Its adhesive isn't the best but it holds best when stretched tight. Also it is somewhat easy to stretch and tear, depends on the quality of it.
Duct tape will be fine as an alternative. It's pretty much the same as the Gorilla tape mentioned in the 1st post. Will duct tape or a belt work then?
Can i use a shirt like this https://www.wikihow.com/Burrito-Roll-a-Shirt instead of the cornhole bags?
This will keep the artery flat against the underlying tissue and allow you to apply firm pressure without being painful and prevent it from rolling out of the way. Standing for me is easiest, but I worry about falling if I make myself black out, so sitting may be the best for finger practice. Trying to use fingers while laying down doesn't seem to work at all for me, I'm guessing because the neck is out of alignment in some odd way.
You only need to lie down at the start to position the bags correctly and loosely tighten the strap. After that, you can go sit in a chair or whatever and complete the task.My concern with this method is the original description said you can do this lying down and you can do it slowly. The guy said he was a marine, who knows, I saw a Quora or something post about it a few years ago from someone claiming to be a marine, anyway a choke out to unconsciousness while standing obviously isn't the same as to death while lying down (originally or when pass out. Seems like the strap would have to be completely immobile and have the artery trapped or could move away from the strap). How do we know it works once lying down? I know people accidentally die doing asphyxiation practices like this for non-suicidal reasons, but I don't know how exactly and maybe that's more like partial suspension hanging? Just some thoughts in response to your useful post.
I've modified it for me i'm using tape while standing to secure the bean bags on my kneck and position the strap it feels awkward for me to do it lying down and I practiced a little earlier and everything seemed "good to go" but I know not everyone here is the same and of course personal situations differ I can afford to walk around with tape and a ratchet around my kneck lol some live with family etc and feel rushed but to those people I ask make sure you take your time with this and make sure if it's what you are going to do to get it right to avoid unnecessary suffering. <3You only need to lie down at the start to position the bags correctly and loosely tighten the strap. This is still my plan B if I decide to go (although I now have a plan C which is effectively my new plan A), and that's exactly what I was planning to do.I've modified it for me i'm using tape while standing to secure the bean bags on my kneck and position the strap it feels awkward for me to do it lying down and I practiced a little earlier and everything seemed "good to go" but I know not everyone here is the same and of course personal situations differ I can afford to walk around with tape and a ratchet around my kneck lol some live with family etc and feel rushed but to those people I ask make sure you take your time with this and make sure if it's what you are going to do to get it right to avoid unnecessary suffering. <3

If they were successful, they can't post because they died Are you sure that method is painless?
Have anyone tried this method and successfully ctb?
