I pressed my fingers to my neck and found 2 pulsing veins - I assume those are the correct spots for this method to work?

What does Ctb mean? Sorry?
It's an acronym for "catch the bus" meaning suicide.

Here's a link to the terminology used on this forum:

From your username, may I assume you are Japanese?

I think you may have your words mixed up. On each side of the neck, you have the carotid arteries and jugular veins. With this method, we are trying to compress the carotid arteries, stopping blood from entering the brain, without compressing the jugular veins too much. Unfortunately, they are very close together.

You may have found the correct spot, but the only way to be sure is to apply enough pressure to both sides to test. If you start to feel light-headed or dizzy without feeling pressure building in your head.

If you feel pressure building in your head, then you are blocking the jugular veins, stopping blood from leaving the brain. This means that you probably don't have the right position or that you are applying too much pressure and blocking both.

The jugular veins carry 100% of the blood from the brain, but the carotid arteries carry less than 100% of the blood to the brain.

It is not easy to find the perfect place and does require practice.

Dammit, can't seem to find the right spot on my neck. Curse my tiny short neck!

I've found success with the spot almost directly below the very back of my jaw on each side of my neck, it's higher up than my adam's apple.
I've only managed to do it when I've been sitting up so far (still trying to figure out how to do it lying down). I use three fingers on each hand, pushing in vertically (to the neck, you want it to be tall, not wide) on the spots where you feel the pulsing is strongest. For me, it manifests very quickly, starting with light-headedness and going into a very quick black-out of all vision, from the edges of my vision inwards. If you aren't getting promising results in ~5 second, position your fingers slightly differently. In my experience, the spots on either side of your neck might be (very slightly) different, sometimes you may only have to adjust one side if the other feels like it's right. Pay close attention to the feeling in your fingers, it takes some practice but you should be able to start telling if you're hitting the right spots.

I'll try to remember to update if I find anything extra while trying to get it to work lying down. Hope this helps someone.

Thank you so much for this! I'd found it once before and lost it! You have no idea how liberating this feels!

Id use this but I cant even translate 'tree ratchet' and 'corn bag' accurately into my native language. What comes up in google images is not even close to the english thing lmao. I guess Ill just hang myself off a bridge

Do you still need the corn hole bags if you use a ratchet strap?

What language? Maybe I can help find a reasonable translation for you. Alternative English words are:
  • Endless ratchet
  • Ratchet strap
  • Ratchet tie down
The corn hole bags are very specific to America as it's an American game, so they are very difficult to source outside America. As such, alternatives generally need to be used unless ordering online from Amazon or the like. Ratchet straps on the other hand are common worldwide (except my country - I had to order mine from China).

Do you still need the corn hole bags if you use a ratchet strap?
For this specific method, you need some sort of padding to prevent the trachea from being compressed and to focus the pressure on the carotid arteries. If you're OK with going through the discomfort of having your wind pipe blocked (similar to full suspension hanging), then you may be able to just use a ratchet strap, but I'd need a second opinion on this. As the strap is wider than the ropes typically used in full suspension, it's going to have to be tight and you'll also need to tighten it quickly. Maybe the lower position below the Adams apple would be better. Can't say for sure as there's no official documentation on this that I have found.

no no :) where u lose consciousness only SI can remove absolutely any method, even those. which you could not think of. but ;) if u use gorilla tape its very high method of success, there is also designed for higher pressure ^_^
As an example, my SI was able to break something that I even couldn't use in the normal state using the pressure of the whole body. but the feeling of losing consciousness without pain is very cool. I even understood a little those who use asphyxia in sexual games xD

Yes and yes.

Nothing.

This is why you need to be absolutely certain that the bags are positioned correctly so that they will compress the carotid arteries before you start wrapping the tape tighter. Practice first to make sure you know exactly where the bags need to be before attempting this method. It's not easy and many have failed to find the correct position.

Hey everyone,

Been talking to a lot of people in the chat and trying to explain this method, and one user wanted me to make a post about it, so here goes everything.

We're going after a classic idea of using a blood choke, except, it will be against ourselves. In the privacy of our own homes. In a fully relaxed state.

This method is fully capable and will kill you very fast. I know this because it's what we were taught in the Marine Corps.

First, you're going to want some Gorilla tape OR a tree ratchet.

Second, get two Sackhole/Cornhole bags.

Now, depending on what you're using, you'll want to lie on the ground and put the bags on these two exact areas on your neck (In blue).

face.jpg

The reason we're lying on the ground is that we want to be able not to have to fuss over putting the bags on us and making sure they don't fall out of place before we use the ratchet or the tape. You're putting the bags on these two areas to go after the internal carotid arteries.

Start cinching the ratchet closed or wrap the tape around your neck once. Is everything feeling good? I'm glad. If not, then uncinch it a little and place the bags. You want to make sure that you're not compressing the windpipe as that could cause you to freak out a little.

We want this to be painless and fast.

After you're comfortable, sit down if you want to or stand up. Do whatever you want honestly. Start wrapping the tape around your neck more and a little tighter or start closing the ratchet more.

In about 5-20 seconds you will pass out. After that, it's pretty much game over unless you somehow hit the ratchet release. That's why I said we could also use tape as well. With the gorilla tape, it will make sure that you don't inadvertently try to tear the tap off... because it will be strong as hell around your neck.

After you pass out, it will only take a few minutes, and you will be brain dead from the complete lack of blood flow to your brain.

I think I've explained this pretty well and I hope you guys understand the method. If not, please don't hesitate and I'm sure that I can help you out or someone else in the community can help you out.
Does this basically mean you cut off the blood flow but you can still breathe so it is not like suffocating then obviously the lack of blood flow causes you to go unconscious and eventually pass away?

So if done correctly I'll still be able to breathe?
Yes, if done correctly. If you've read the full thread, you will have noticed that many people have struggled with this method. It's not easy to find the perfect position to place the bags. Practice is required to get this right.

I've fooled around with this but I get the bawkbawks when the pressure really hits my eyes, feels like they're exploding. Couldn't commit to that being my last feeling lol.
I'm such a diva when it comes to killing myself. Every detail needs to be right.

can you try partial hanging? eye pressure means the wrong path is chosen...(if only to block the jugular veins, then there will be pressure in the head or eyes. and you need to block another type))
although standing I get night-night, but not sitting or lying down.

There has to be a simple device that you can use for this method. Something like a vice grip that can go around your neck that will apply pressure to the arterie without fully choking you

Check out page 412 in PPeH 2019. It has a couple of pics of interesting devices. This method is referred to as the Korean method in PPeH.
