An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
Every time I try to squeeze my neck with my thumb/index&middle, I have to squeeze hard enough that i'm slightly crushing my windpipe from the sides (thats what it feels like) and i'm worried I'm getting placement wrong. With the bags, is it better to have a wider area of pressure compared to the small area of pressure from fingers? like, that helps take of some of the pressure off my windpipe? I'm just worried i'm getting placement wrong. I don't have an adams apple to reference lol

I would like to know the same. I am using sand-filled socks. The question is given the depth of the carotid arteries and the individual anatomical differences once you locate the pulse how much width, height and depth do you need for the sack? I think a lot of us may be failing because the pressure may be too defused given the surrounding tissue. We may not be getting the depth to completely close off the arteries.

That's weird, you shouldn't need to squeeze it to the point where your windpipe has issues. Try looking up and finding the strongest pulse and press that, might work, I've had luck doing that.
Tried this the other day with cornhole bags and the gorilla tape. I couldn't get it to work. It never got tight enough. What am I doing wrong? I really want to ctb this week.

I had the same issue. My setup is a ratchet strap with sand filled in a plastic bag wrapped in a sock. I was not getting enough pressure then I remembered high school physics. Pressure = Force / Area. Therefore, we need to either increase the force and/or reduce the area. In my configuration, I simply reduced the amount of sand in the bag and I almost passed out. The key takeaways I have found with this method are:
The ratchet strap is preferable
Sand filled socks allow you to adjust the pressure by changing the amount of sand.
Applying pressure lower seems to work best at least for me. This may be because of anatomical differences. You have to experiment.
Hope you find your peace.

i ordered the cornhole bags online and it came a lot smaller - more like 2 inches instead of 5 inches. anyone knows if it's a blessing in disguise? View attachment 12887
The cornhole bags I ordered are too big for my neck in a way that makes compressing the carotid very awkward. Would there be any sense in attaching something much smaller and denser (I was thinking chapstick tubes) to them for a more localized pressure to the arteries, if not removing the bags entirely? I assume removing them completely would only end up with me compressing the windpipe.
At this point though, perhaps I'll just have to play with the sand-filled/tightly wound-up socks method instead.

I have reached down to a size of 2.5" diameter by 1" thick tightly wound-up socks. Yesterday in testing I did not pass out by I started to lose motor control to the point I hit my head.
Dude, I figured this out. I had the same thing before. I'd end up just feeling a lot of pressure in my head like it was going to explode and a really bad headache. I found out I had the rope too far down at my windpipe which will just compress the windpipe and jugulars. You need to put it above the Adam's apple, as far up the neck as you can. Hope this helps :)
Popping in to say hi. I wanted to say that I'm impressed and glad on how everyone has worked together on finding the perfect way to execute this method. The "Korean" method has a very close ring to NN to the point where it's just silly. I'm glad that people can use it to help themselves out.
I've been diagnosed with some new things and the meds I'm on right now have changed my mind a lot on some heavy topics.
With that said though, I'm still getting closer to my date with NN.
Take care of yourselves.

Thank you @Kooz for making this thread to begin with. I have found my exit when I decide to CTB I have everything I need for it always going to keep it close to hand for when I feel I'm done I'm trying life one more time. I used to practice martial arts so I'm familiar with this method but never correlated it with CTB. Sorry for the ramble just wanted to say thank you.

This method seems perfect for me. I can't get cornhole bags where I live, so I practiced with other rolled-up items that others have recommended in the previous pages (yes, I read the whole thread). I got nowhere, so I decided to make my own bags and fill them with buckwheat like Kooz suggested. Should I make them 6"x6" or smaller? Kooz says he chose cornhole bags because they're heavy, but I don't understand if their size is also part of the equation. Are they supposed to lay flat on the neck or be rolled up? Because the blue squares indicating their placement are much smaller than 6"x6". If I leave some space between them so as not to compress my windpipe they would press mostly on the sides of my neck when the ratchet is tightened. Can those of you who practiced successfully help me out?
I am looking to ctb in the next few days using NN and I wanted to document how I was able to get consistent results. I would first like to thank the creator of this website, the various contributors, @LifeIsACurse and @Kooz for providing this valuable information and helping answer questions. I am also writing this because of the frustration I had getting consistent results. Hopefully, my experience will help people using this method.

Bill of materials:
Ratchet tie down strap
Duct Tape
A pair of socks
(2) small plastic bags
Fine sand
Marker
Steps:
Find the location of the Baroreceptors (the strong pulse in the neck) and mark the left and right side with a marker. See section on KM method for details.
Fill a plastic bag with fine sand. Make sure all the air is squeezed out of the bag. Then wrap in a sock and make sure the knot in the sock is tight against the sand. We don't want any loose space. What eventually worked for me is a sand filled bag about 2"wide, 1.75" long and about 0.5" thick.
Once you have your socks,. Duct tape then to a piece of strap so that the center of the sand is over the two marks you made on your neck. The Ratchet tie down strap I got came with a long strap so I cut off a length and duct taped the socks to it. (See image)
Tie the strap with the socks over your neck firmly with the knot in the back with the side having the socks against your neck. Make sure the socks are over the marks you made on your neck.
Place the ratchet tie down over the strap with the ratchet mechanism behind your neck. Ratchet it down until both straps are firm against each other and won't move.
Find a place to sit down and crank away, You will know if you are doing it right if your breath is not impeded but your vision narrows and you start to feel disoriented. WARNING. Be careful when practicing as you can accidentally die or hurt yourself. I gave myself a contusion on my head as I loss motor control while practicing.
Notes:
The frustration people are having with this method is not getting enough pressure on the carotids. In my configuration this is solved by simply reducing the amount of sand in the bag. As a refresher, remember Pressure = Force / Area. Since the ratchet is applying the same force on the socks the only way to increase the pressure is reducing the area of the sand against the neck. So we need to reduce this area by removing sand and experimenting. From the above equation reducing the area of sand against the neck by HALF will DOUBLE the pressure against the carotid arteries.
Well, I hope you find the peace you are looking for. See you on the other side.

This may sound dumb but anyone know if soil would be an okay substitute for the sand? Concerned about different densities and weight affecting the pressure. I cant get sand without going to buy a 50lb bag which is way to suspicious for me rn...

You need a substance that is not compressible but moldable. That is why the original poster recommended cornhole sacks. They are usually filled with corn. The beads in a beanie baby would also work.

Well, I attempted to ctb, everything went as planned until I woke up on the flloor and SI kicked in. During the attempt I fell as I lost consciousness and that awoke me. Now I have a large contusion on my head. There was no pain in the attempt and I can't remember even losing consciousness. Need to try it again in a different starting position.

Buckwheat MIGHT work. Try it and report back. I think once the pressure increases all the materials mentioned should compress. without an issue. Just pack the materials tight.

That may work once they don't dig into your flesh as the pressure is applied.
yae same shit almost happened with me. woke up on the ground wondering what the hell happened. neck was sore for a week. make sure yall practice this once or else you keep risking harm to yourself.
