I don't think this method is talked about much on this forum but it may be a viable method for many. One can simply use caffinated drinks like coke, coffee, energy drinks, etc to help you stay awake. I remember reading on this forum before that once you're awake for 4 days you won't feel the least bit tired and can keep yourself awake very easily from there on out. Then once you're without sleep for a certain amount of time (I'm guessing around 10 days) you go brain dead and die which I have a hunch would be relatively painless.

All in all seems fairly practical.

Anyone else here interested in this method or know how to do this method precisely or any important information or tips and suggestions?

To be honest this sounds like a very bad idea - at some point you will still pass out and the body will take the sleep it needs. There isnt enough caffeine in modern drinks to achieve what you would like to do, but i am no expert on this topic.

The longest I've been without any sleep was just over 48 hours and it was the fucking worst. I can't imagine not sleeping till it eventually kills me.

Doesn't seem like a good method, unless your goal is to be so sleep deprived that you accidentally stumble into a situation that kills you like falling down the stairs or wandering into traffic.

Many of us here suffer from insomnia or other sleep disorders anyhow. It's enough torture as it is. So tbh, I'd skip ctb by sleep deprivation. Might as well live. :hihi:

I've always had insomnia. I couldn't sleep when my son died. I was full on nerves hysterics anxiety mania- eventually your brain shuts off and if just 10 minutes it manages to get some rest.

insomnia is torture.
I am sure you will fall asleep sooner or later anyway. Then you have to try the whole thing again.

I have the same feeling. It doesn't sound like a good method.

I agree with most people here that it's not a good method. I can't imagine going without sleep even for two days. It's a torture.

There are other methods to stay awake but if you don't pop your clogs you will end up with worse mental health problems, just look what are caring Governments prescribe our troops when they are in battle, not sure where your from I'm in the UK and we had and have a lot of suicides and troops living rough on the streets because of mental health.

.

People say sleep deprivation is one of the worst forms of torture there is.
Absolutely right. People who don't suffer from SD are completely clueless what severe, never ending insomnia is.
Both physically, emotionally and mentally you're a total wreck.
I often compare it with daily smoking two packs of cigs, drinking 10 beers and only eating fast food. You won't die instantly, but rest assure that your health will deteriorate slow but surely: diabetes, metabolic syndrome, heart disease and even cancer. That's what continous SD will do to you, it's a slow and painful death.

Sleep deprivation would impare a person's cognitive abilities to such a degree that they would be unable to make rational decisions to keep themselves awake. Also, I'm pretty sure high amounts of stimulants such as caffeine would give them bad tachycardia, headaches and tremor which would be very difficult to handle in the long run.
