I need shows to pass time because I do nothing all day since I don't work. It just gets lonely and boring so I need a distraction.

I like adult animation, reality, comedy, and some shows with a storyline like shameless. I finished up 1000lb sisters and now I am onto the Harry Potter series again. Does anyone have recommendations? It doesn't have to be exactly what I said. But it would be better if it had a few seasons because I don't like watching only one season that is 10 episodes and be done.

Emily in Paris if you want something absolutely dumb to a brain-melting point. Breaking Bad if you want something that will stay with you forever.

I've been watching 1000lb Sisters for ages and am just finishing up the latest episodes now. xD

As for recommendations, I'm not sure what you've watched already, but I'd suggest trying out shows like Black Mirror, The Boys, Bob's Burgers, Metalocalypse, and Moral Orel.

My favorite show is Bojack Horseman! It's such a good watch, I honestly wish I could watch this show for the first time again (It has 6 seasons)

Here's some others:

Smiling Friends (3 seasons)
House MD (8 seasons)
Inside Job (sadly only 2 seasons but it's good)

Edit: I also agree with what Spite said you should absolutely watch Moral Orel that show is so good

If u dislike bigotry, and basically inconsistency in society.
I have 2 shows to suggest.
First beastars , imagine in a world where gender, sexuality , belief systems all exist. But u add on top of that the fact that society is made of herbivores and carnivores. And its trying its best to coexist together.

Second , is releasing as we speak. Its called : the darwin incident.
This is about the way animals are being treated in our world , pretty much.

If u enjoy thinking for urself then they are for u

Long shot here but, try Legend of the Galactic Heroes (1988). Its free on internet archive. 110 episodes and 3 movies. One of the best written political / space operas I've ever seen. Writing is up there with Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.

I don't watch adult animation, so I can't offer any recommendations there except for what I've seen others talk about like Big Mouth, Bojack Horseman, and Smiling Friends.
For reality, I know a lot of people like Traitors, Love Island and Love is Blind or some version of The Real Housewives. Personally, I watch The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and kind of hate watch Keeping Up with The Kardashians and The Kardashians.
With comedy, I'd recommend Barry, Based on a True Story, Ghosts (US version), Good Girls, Nobody Wants This, Parks and Recreation, Resident Alien, The Office (US version), What We Do in the Shadows, Workin' Moms. I do know Arrested Development, Letterkenny, Schitts Creek and The Boys are other popular options as well.
For shows like Shameless, I would recommend Breaking Bad, Ginny & Georgia, The Fosters and their spin-off Good Trouble, Skins, Shameless (UK version), The Mick, Ozark, and Weeds.
I watch a lot of television shows. Let me know if you'd like recommendations on other genres or in general.

One anime I can 100% recommend is Attack on Titan. It's the only anime I've watched all the way to the end so far. It explores many interesting themes, such as freedom, revenge, the value of life, moral ambiguity, war and free will, among others. I was also surprised that there is basically no sexual objectification of the characters. It is quite brutal though, so it's not for everyone

Venture Bros! It's crazy how well it balances long running and layered thematic exploration with truly hilarious episodic comedy.

There's only one season, but "Forever" (2014) is an interesting combination of "The Highlander" and "CSI". Ioan Gruffudd portrays the lead character, and he narrates the premise of the show in the first minute or so of each episode.

Highly recommend The Bear, the main actor is the same actor for Lip from Shameless.
